Chapter 19: The Inner Sanctum
Victor pushed open the door, revealing a large, dimly lit chamber filled with rows of ancient bookshelves and strange, glowing artifacts.
At the far end of the chamber, a figure sat on a throne-like chair, shrouded in shadows. As we approached, the figure slowly rose to its feet, revealing a tall, imposing figure with piercing eyes.
"Welcome, Emily," the figure said, its voice low and commanding. "I am the leader of the Order of the Moon. And I have been waiting for you."
I felt a shiver run down my spine as the leader's eyes seemed to bore into my very soul. What did it want from me? And what secrets lay hidden within the Order's inner sanctum?
