Bolting up, Evelyn dashed towards the castle, screaming, "My Lord! My Lord, I felt something!"
Vlad, who was suspended in mid air, watching her from above, disappeared from sight.
Few moments later, Evelyn barged into their bedroom and found Vlad flipping through a book.
She rushed forward and stood a good distance away from him, then said with excitement, almost shrilling. "My Lord, I felt something warm, like a current of some sort rushing into somewhere in my stomach. Was that it?"
Vlad lifted his gaze from the book and stared at her for a while. Her eyes were shining with expectations.
His head bobbed faintly and a soft hum accompanied it before he closed the book and waved her over.
Evelyn screamed and jumped in joy as she rushed towards him. She was so happy that she forgot she was afraid of Vlad.
Vlad held her wrist and after a while, he took his hand back and produced a white pill and gave it to her, "Take it."
