"The first Blade Dancer, huh." Celine reminisced upon hearing Arthur's words.
The king had already appeared next to the door to leave the throne room before Celine could notice. "Yes, that story is one of the reasons I respect you and it's not because you fought an army alone. Anyone can do that. Anyways, scram. You and I both have better things to be doing than thinking of a past we will never relive."
Celine stepped proudly in the castle and no guard had interrupted her. Now she was the king's honored guest so her status was equivalent to the princess Aria. She couldn't order people around but an immense respect naturally followed her. Step by step, Celine proudly walked into the training hall.
She ignored every guard who was sparring as they darkened their expression upon seeing her strut by annoyingly. "I hope she challenges one us to a spar. Then she'll learn that status is earned, not gained from one word to the king," one guard mumbled to another.
The words hadn't affected her as she finally arrived at her destination. A black and blue haired beauty was sparring gracefully with another guard and was effortlessly winning. However, the moment Aria's opponent was defeated, she had turned to see a violet radiant icon in her sight.
Aria had a deadpan expression facing this annoying human. "I take it that your talk with the king went well, seeing as you aren't dead or captured."
Celine gave a bright smile. "You could say that. But you can also say he made me a prisoner of the kingdom. I can't leave after all. But aren't you curious as to why he let me stay safely without any restrictions?"
"I know better than anyone that my father has his reasons. However, I would like to know why you have come here?" Aria asked.
"Hmm," Celine mused how to advance the conversation. "The one reason I have is a secret. I'll only tell you if you beat me in a spar." Once again, a mischievous grin that annoyed everyone present flared up in Celine.
Aria calmly looked at her. "You cannot beat me. Even if you were a master mage you wouldn't even be able to comprehend how you lost."
Stretching, Celine confidently stated. "How can you be so sure? You haven't even seen me battle yet."
Watching the bold human, Aria's brows furrowed. This level of arrogance could only be obtained with absolute confidence. Something about this human wasn't normal and Aria wanted to know so she could only fight to get the words out from the annoying woman.
"You have ten seconds to prepare," Aria said expressionlessly. She grabbed her family blade and entered a domineering stance. If she was going to spar, she would be going all out to test the human.
In a flash! Followed with a dash of lightning! Ten seconds had passed and a lightning storm had raged from one side of the training hall to another. A lightning storm shook the hall and Aria was sure she sent a sure fire blow that would put her blade just a hair away from Celine's neck. The speed was so inhuman that sonic booms couldn't even describe the way Aria disappeared from one side to another.
Though, what Aria couldn't expect was for Celine to just disappear from the battlefield. "What!" Her expression couldn't be kept straight. "Did I vaporize her? No, that can't be right." Just as she lowered her guard, a hand appeared from where Celine stood and placed itself on Aria's stomach.
"You lost," Celine grinned and held a lethal amount of power in her hand on Aria. Anyone could tell that Aria's life was in her Celine's hands alone. What that did not stop was everybody's surprised expressions though. Multiple murmurs and yelps of excitement rang through the air. "L-lost?" Everybody thought. Their princess was an untouchable power. She was somebody feared across the continent and she lost?
Aria's exclamation soon faded and she herself held a softly fulfilled smile. "How did you win," she asked in graceful defeat. There were very few who could defeat her so spectacularly in a way she had never seen before so Aria was eager to learn.
Celine had a nostalgic look upon seeing Aria eager to learn. "Never change,"she earnestly wished and began explaining for her comrade. "I used humanities strongest weapon against you, science. Your race hasn't developed enough scientific knowledge to understand that you only see me through the reflection of rays of light. I blocked those rays of light using magic and I became invisible. It was simple science. But I did this for you to prepare yourself because there are scientific geniuses far better than me who will create weapons and do things beyond your imagination. I just wanted to show you that humanity isn't weak. They are as strong as you so don't get arrogant."
"Is that the reason why you challenged me to a spar? Thank you for teaching me despite being human yourself. I don't know why you are working against them but I appreciate you for your cooperation. You are more than a prisoner here," Aria slightly bowed while bestowing upon Celine traditional royal customs. Aria's whole expressionless demeanor changed instantly upon realizing how strong Celine really was. At first, she thought an arrogant and annoying brat came to work for them but realizing Celine was strong changed Aria's whole perception of her. Truly, only the strong could be respected.
Aria spoke as if she was speaking to an elderly mentor and it made Celine want to laugh so hard. "If only you knew that it was you who taught me how to bend rays of light with telekinetic magic," she wiped a tear and mocked in her head.
"So, would you like to know why I came here?" Celine
