With Copenhagen parking the bus, Dortmund dominated the ball. A few substitutions had taken place by both teams. Dortmund subbing out the players they deem important as to not risk injury. These changes didn't affect much as Dortmund still had the upper hand.
Riley got on the ball and dictated play. In the 83rd minute, Riley found himself on the left wing after a throw in. Hit with a little deja vu as he turned. Riley remembered the game back at his hometown where he received the ball in this exact position. Struck by a little inspiration, Riley took off. The right back expecting him to pass was stunned because he thought all Riley had in his arsenal was to pass the ball and he was ready to intercept.
Riley engaged the fullback and threw him in a daze with quick step overs, evading the player. The right sided centre back and the defensive midfielder started charging towards Riley to try and close him down. Riley did a little back hill towards the left back and that prompted the opposition's defensive midfielder to try and close down the left back.
Riley continued his run towards the box as the left back returned the ball. This quick one-two threw the whole defensive line into panic. Riley received the ball parallel to the left sided centre back who had fear written on his face as he had a bad premonition. Riley never even trapped the ball but sent a curler to the goalkeeper's left heading straight for the top corner.
"Goaaaaaal, my, my, my the little boy wonder is on the scoresheet. He has totally changed this game ever since being introduced. Dortmund certainly have a gem here." The commentator was full of praise.
Riley ran to the corner, thinking of a celebration to do while running. Nothing coming to him and subconsciously he started jumping and than he turned while he was mid-air arms in a cross shape as he was fully turnt. The whole ground seemed to pick up what he was trying to do. They all anticipated Riley's movement and as Riley plented his feet on the ground and arms swang backwards on his side…
"Siuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" the whole ground chorused.
A photographer who was there caught that in a picture. Riley was euphoric as the referee urged to Dortmund players back to their half. The score at 0-4, the Copenhagen team just wanted the final whistle. The match continued and eventually came to an end. Both set of players shook hands to show good sportsmanship.
In the stands in a corner, a woman was sitting there with sparkling eyes as she stared at Riley who was all smiles. "Who is that kid? He looks young, I must look him up. I wonder if he has an agent yet. If he doesn't, maybe I should offer myself." The woman muttered to herself.
The players went back to the local rooms and as they got into the hallway, the Dortmund team were stunned as they saw a figure standing there on crutches. The Dortmund under 19 team held deep admiration for the player in front of them. The player had a smile on his face, "Congratulations guys. Job well done. However, it is not over yet. Tough games are coming up. You need to face them head on and be strong. No, you have to be the strongest." Marco said.
The player's nodded their heads as they entered the locker room. Riley who was dazedly looking at the player came to his senses when Marco was right in front of him. 'What the hell, this, this, this is the legendary Marco Reus. The living legend of this Borussia Dortmund team. He is here, in front of me. Wait… why is he in front of me?" Riley's head was in muddles.
"Hello, star boy." Marco Reus brought Riley out of his trance.
