The group split up quickly, one Yatzul for each one. The final Yatzul, the fifth one, was the ringleader of them all. It gave out strange calls and alerted the others, giving them orders to hunt.
Kanesaki ran to a dead end. 'Shit...' He heard the creature drop down behind him, it's growls alerted him as he drew the blade from his body and swung wildly. The Yatzul moved it's claws to block, causing sparks to fly as Kanesaki quickly slid back and sliced upwards, piercing it's shoulder. Blood sprayed out, covering Kanesaki's coat and a little of his face.
I gotta kill it quickly to go help the others...
It reared up slowly, swung it's claw downwards and was parried by Kanesaki, who parried two more swings. After the three attacks, it jabbed it's fingers low to try and catch Kanesaki's leg. In response, Kanesaki lifted his foot and jumped back slightly. Afterwards, he aimed his blade down and thrust it into the creature's hand. It screamed out in pain, the deafening screech leaving visible annoyance on Kanesaki's face.
'Can you just Shut Up!' As he shouted, he kicked the creature In the face, dazing it. He then proceeded to violently stomp on its head over and over until it's head was a bloody mess, with pieces of it's parasitic skin all over the ground and his clothes. Kanesaki took a few breaths before reaching to remove his blade from its body. He then immediately began to run off to find the others and help them.
'CL7-344, that's your code.'
It was my first mission, two years ago. A village was attacked by a Yatzul. I had to kill it, I knew I could. Once I arrived, I found no signs of a Yatzul. I camped out near the village for about three days and still found nothing. One night though, the village was attacked again. I got there quickly and went to deal with the Yatzul; only it wasn't one. I saw it firsthand, it was killing humans.
A Chimera killing humans.
Of course, I killed the rogue Chimera; alongside it I had awoken, realising I was more than a weapon. I had become aware that I killed my own kind, it made me sick yet, for some odd reason, I felt relieved. The feeling of killing something that wasn't human, after I had dedicated my entire life to humanity I was set on ensuring their safety. I dislike my own kind, they're just pieces of dynamite awaiting the spark that sets them off, killing people in the process. It's why I enjoy fighting strong Yatzul, they remind me of a Chimera in how they adapt quick in a fight. The weaker ones are just shitty annoyances; I still prefer Chimera. This new one, Kanesaki, I sense something off about him. He's clearly awoken too yet, he hasn't gone rogue yet. I need to stay close to him to find out more; and if he tries to turn on humanity I will kill him.
The Yatzul lashed aggressively all around itself; the Chimera dodged backwards and swung his massive axe with speed. The axe penetrated through it's side and nearly cut right through it's body, but it got stuck near the end. The Chimera gritted his teeth. Damn it... I needed more power! He pulled back, allowing the creature to heal it's wound slowly. 'Alright, you shitty creature... This second swing's gonna end you.' He inhaled deeply as he threw the axe over his shoulder, waiting for the creature to swing at him. It did so quickly, but he was faster, cutting straight through it's body, down the middle. Blood covered the axe head as the Chimera exhaled and smirked. 'Told ya, piece of shit.' He picked up the axe and went off to search for his officer, Oki.
Oki drew a pistol from it's holster and fired two shots off, one hitting the Yatzul. He quickly dashed away as the creature scurried after him, roaring as it did. 'Damn it, I don't have my YNS on!' He shouted in self annoyance whilst running away. He turned and fired three more shots, two hit. The bullets barely penetrated the creature's skin, just imbedding themselves in it's parasitic hide.
Eventually, the officer reached a dead end and turned back. 'Fine... Guess I gotta fight with no suit.' As he spoke, his hand drew a sleek, black short sword from it's hilt under his uniform. The Yatzul ran over to bite him but he dodged to the right and stabbed it in the neck, slicing upwards to pierce the hide fully. 'That's it! Get angrier!' He grinned widely as he dodged more of the creature's attacks, stabbing and cutting it up after each dodge. After a while, the Yatzul was on the floor, bleeding profusely. Oki stated at it, smiling blissfully as he aimed the gun at it's limp head. 'That was fun, Parasite... Maybe we should dance again sometime.' He proceeded to unload the whole magazine of bullets into it's exposed head, killing it brutally. He carefully stepped over the body and sheathed his sword before glancing around. 'Guess I should see how the others are doing.' He had returned to his serious attitude from earlier, walking off to find the rest of the group.
Akio was last, facing the Yatzul as he drew his hilt and pressed the button with his thumb. The hilt extended, creating a shiny black, metallic lance. 'I gotta get this one to help the others!' He exclaimed before dashing to try and impale the Yatzul. It swatted the lance and went to swipe directly at the officer's face. He ducked under, recovered quickly, thrusted the lance and pierced the chest of the Yatzul. Blood spilled along the weapon as the creature screamed in pain. Akio then twisted his body and forcefully threw the Yatzul along the floor as a trail on blood formed between them.
The Yatzul got back on all fours and roared again. It charged forward and jumped up to come down for a large attack. Akio thrusted upwards quickly, impaling the creature fully through it's body. It clutched the weapon as it attempted to lift itself off of it, but to no avail. It finally bled out on the lance after a slight struggle. Lowering the corpse to the floor, Akio sighed, looking up to the ceiling. 'I hope the others are okay...' A sudden screech came from behind the officer, he looked back quickly.
The attack was too fast.
The fifth and final Yatzul, the pack leader, bit down on Akio's shoulder, tearing aggressively through the uniform to pierce through the YNS underneath. Akio held back a shout as he pushed the creature off of him before kicking it away. He examined his shoulder, it was greatly wounded and bled massively. 'Damn it, this was a new uniform.' He groaned in annoyance and threw the lance into the ground. The Yatzul stared on carefully as the officer removed his torn up and bloody uniform to reveal the full YNS. He grabbed the lance back out of the ground and got ready to fight with a half-broken arm and a few marks on his neck. The Yatzul walked backwards whilst facing the officer. It stopped once it reached the dead Yatzul from earlier. Akio watch as strange tail-like appendages appeared from the leader's body before they embedded themselves into the corpse. 'Huh, what're you doing over there?' As he asked the rhetorical, the creature suddenly began to morph, somehow absorbing the corpse to change its form. It took two steps forward as it became a bipedal, it's frontal legs becoming powerful but slim arms with spiked elbows and sharpened claws. It's head spikes grew larger too as it let out a massive roar. Akio scoffed, his face looking slightly annoyed. 'Damn, where are the others!?'
Chapter five- end
