Kanesaki dashed through the pipes and old machinery, searching for the others. He had heard a large crash from up ahead and ran quickly to find what caused it. Soon, he could see what it was. The other Chimera, 344, was fighting a Yatzul. Observing closer, he could see that the creature's movements were limp and floppy. The Chimera looked to Kanesaki and shouted, 'Hey, Can you help!'
Quickly drawing his blade, Kanesaki rushed over to cut the creature's leg, it twisted it head back and lunged to bite him. Kanesaki moved his blade up and caught it in the creature's mouth as it chomped down on it, trying to throw him off it. Blood began to spew out from its back, the other Chimera had cut into its back from behind. Kanesaki used this moment to pull his blade from the monster's mouth and plunge it into it's neck. He held the blade in the creature's neck as it stopped moving shortly after. The two sighed slightly as Kanesaki looked to the other Chimera.
'Took you that long to kill it?' He joked a little. The other replied, 'I killed it in two swings, it just rose back up like some undead demon.' Kanesaki examined the body before looking back to the Chimera. 'It might have to do with the calls that the leader one was giving, maybe it can resurrect the dead ones...' Nodding slightly, the Chimera watched Kanesaki closely. 'You've awoken.' Eyes widened, Kanesaki glanced at the other. 'How did you-'
'It's obvious from the way you talk and act. I'm sure it obvious that I'm also awakened.' Nodding, Kanesaki smiled a little. 'It's nice to know there's another Chimera like me...'
'Like you?'
'Huh?' Looking back up, Kanesaki felt confused at the sudden aggression. The Chimera walked up to him and grabbed his collar to pull him closer, a look of disgust and anger on his face. 'I might be a Chimera, but I'm no free-minded fool like you. I'm special to humans, I'm the weapon that stays by their side, even if it's shattered. What are you, just a weapon that kills it's users!' Kanesaki looked frightened and confused at the same time. The sudden aggression had caught him off as he tried to push the Chimera off him. 'Just wait until you go rogue, I know you will.' He then threw Kanesaki to the ground and ran off in search of Oki.
Getting up slowly, Kanesaki snarled. What's his problem... He wondered. Then, in the corner of his eye, he saw two shadows running between the machines. Grabbing his blade, he chased after them, wondering if they were other dead Yatzul, now resurrected.
Akio slid back, throwing the lance into the ground to stop himself. Looking up, he saw the Yatzul lunge at him, swinging violently. He sucked under and followed up with an uppercut, boosted by the suit. The impact hit the creature's chin and it was sent back, hitting the floor before it crawled back up and roared again. Akio recovered his weapon and rushed in to impale the creature's shoulder. It screeched and clawed at Akio, lightly injuring his chest with claw marks. His shoulder was healing slowly, the suit was doing it's work, but it would take about an hour or two. He had no time to waste, he had to kill this thing.
Rearing upwards, the Yatzul unhinged it's jaw and dove for Akio's neck, he couldn't dodge in time. Luckily, three shots were fired into the monster's back, it roared in annoyance and swung around, sacking Akio away. It looked around before Oki rushed towards it, firing off a few more shots before cutting it's chest and dashing away. 'Officer Matsunaga, you okay?'
'Yeah, should be good soon.' He struggled to stand, his body was straining and he coughed up some blood. Oki stood in front of the Yatzul as Akio got behind it. The creature examined the two and decided to rush for Akio instead. Oki quickly followed and shouted over, 'It's targeting the weaker opponent! Get out of the way!' Instinctively, Akio dashed to the side, dodging the creature. He saw it turn it's head, a grim smile formed on its face as it lunged to the side, slashing down on the officer's chest. Blood dripped down the creature's claws as it looked over and blocked Oki's sword with a sudden tail-like appendage from it's back.
Oki stared with sudden confusion, clearly caught off-guard as the monster swung the tail to throw the officer away, sending him rolling across the floor. It quickly resumed it's assault on Akio, it's tail moving to stab the officer in the abdomen. He coughed blood, more than previously.
'Shit... This is bad...'
Oki watched on as he recovered his sword. 'Oi, come get me you bastard!' The Yatzul's head twitched to look over, but it ignored the shouting officer. Akio pulled his lance back before thrusting it straight through the Yatzul. Gritting his teeth, Akio pushed the weapon deeper into it, blood covering his hands and suit. Oki looked on and took his chance to run in, swinging his sword for the neck on the creature. Blood smeared the blades edges as it sliced through the Yatzul's neck with ease, decapitating it.
The head rolled to the floor as the body collapsed onto Akio; he checked it to the side and examined his wounds. 'Crap... That bastard got me good...' He looked up to Oki and smiled. Oki looked stunned. 'You're smiling?' Laughing, Akio responded. 'Yeah, always smile... Even in death. That's my mother's motto...' Oki smiled too, slightly. 'Your mother sounds like like a nice person.'
'She was... But she died when I was young. She has a smile on her face when they put her in the casket, so I stick to her words as she did.' The two laughed together for a moment, recovering from the fight. Akio sat up and stood, holding his wound with one hand to stop the bleeding. 'How do you think the other two are doing?'
'They're Chimera, they'll be fine.' The injured officer nodded slowly, deciding not to follow up. He coughed up more blood as Oki put an arm around him to help him walk. The two made their way to try and look for the Chimera. Behind them, Two Yatzul ran out from the darkness and clawed behind them. Kanesaki leapt out, chasing them as he blocked their attacks. The two officers turned around and Akio shouted, 'Kanesaki! You're oka-'
He choked on his words and blood poured out from his mouth. Oki grabbed him to keep him from collapsing. Kanesaki looked over and smiled a little. 'Officers! Are you guys okay?' Oki snarled a little. 'Do we look okay!?' Kanesaki looked a little dumbfounded before resuming his fight with the two undead Yatzul. One jumped in front of the other and started swinging rapidly as Kanesaki parried each attack with ease. The other ran to the decapitated corpse of the leader and the tentacle appendages emerged from the corpse and stuck themselves into the undead Yatzul. They begun assimilating as the officers called out.
'287, kill that one before they merge!' Hearing Oki's words, Kanesaki looked past the attacking Yatzul and took a chance to dart past it, swinging at the assimilating one. He nearly hit, but the corpse's arm swung up to block, holding the blade still as the two undead rushed to fully merge with the corpse. Pulling, back, Kanesaki got clear of the merging.
The bodies all fused, becoming one large, werewolf-like creature; yet lacking in fur and real claws, just a large dark red bioform with four large, strong arms that morphed into single-bladed talons. A long, spike-tipped tail fell from it's back as the creature roared. The three all got ready to face the creature at once, they had to, for survival.
