'344, careful with the body. We need it in good condition to extract what's left of the suit.'
344 nodded as he walked slowly, Akio's body held over his shoulder carefully. Oki had dismissed Kanesaki, 344 obeyed that order to leave him; Kanesaki was a distant memory to the two already. 344 had been with his master since childhood and had never done any wrong, he was the "most useful weapon" according to Oki; he liked that nickname.
'Hey, both of you... Where are you going... Why are you leaving..?'
They both looked back, their eyes widening.
He was covered from head to toe in blood. His shoes, bloody, his trousers, bloody, his coat, bloody, his face, bloody. He appeared like a phantom, a ghost seeking revenge; he was.
'Oki, he's cracking, we should kill him.' 344 put the body down and grabbed the hilt of his axe as it appeared through his knee. 'Fine. 344, eliminate the rogue Chimera.' 344 pulled out the full axe. It's massive frame would prove to scare the occasional foe; yet who he faced wasn't one of them.
Kanesaki rushed towards the Chimera, his blade twisted, a dark red and violet. The two clashed, sparks flying out. The two locked eyes between their weapons and detached, getting ready to swing again. Oki watched as they clashed a few more times, Kanesaki's blade was breaking, shards of the weapon had broken off. He kept his assault up, slashing constantly despite his body breaking with every swing. 344 swung a heavy attack from above, Kanesaki dodged and stomped on the axe so it went deeper into the ground before moving to backhand 344 in the face.
The Chimera spat blood as he reeled back, his neck cracking as he regained his footing. Kanesaki didn't hesitate, he swung a follow up punch which 344 hastily blocked with his arm and retorted back with a hook kick to Kanesaki's head. He then moved up closer to knee Kanesaki in the stomach, pull him back and hit him four times across the face. Kanesaki spat blood onto the floor and just continued to attack.
344 blocked again, confused as to how Kanesaki could keep going like this. Swinging up to cut through the Chimera's chest, Kanesaki let out a guttural scream of anger. 344 forced the axe from the ground to use the hilt and block.
The attack didn't come.
Instead, Kanesaki had faked the attack and swung sideways, across 344's left eye, blinding him in it. He went to follow up aggressively, but was stopped by three bullets piercing his side. He coughed blood and looked back at Oki who had his pistol aimed for the Chimera. 'It's nothing personal, 287, you're just deemed as a threat if we bring you back.' Kanesaki stared at Oki with spiraling eyes, he didn't say a word as he breathed heavily through his mouth, like a dog.
'Hey, 287!' Kanesaki looked back and blocked a massive swing by 344 which destroyed his blade completely. The axe slashed across his stomach and had him bleeding pools of blood. He glanced up and swung the shattered blade, cutting into 344's neck. The Chimera grabbed his arm and yanked him closer before headbutting Kanesaki. The two entered blood hand-to-hand combat, the only noise was that if blood spilling and bones breaking. Kanesaki threw a jab, missed, pulled back to kick and broke two of 344's ribs. On the other side, 344 reeled, recovered and thrust his knee into Kanesaki's stomach wound.
He vomited blood as the knee connected with his wound, almost collapsing right there. 344 readied his axe to swing again as Kanesaki stood defenseless. Unable to block, Kanesaki watched as his left arm was torn from his body, and the axe tripped through his waist, stopping halfway. 344 yanked the axe out from the near-dead Chimera and kicked him far across the ground where he landed into a large stone hill, his body embedding into it. Attempting to recover, Kanesaki leaned forwards, his neck appearing almost broken. The other Chimera wasn't done yet, leaping over to drop kick Kanesaki further back into the wall.
He began to stomp of Kanesaki's body as he coughed blood, appearing dead already yet still breathing. 'Got anything to say 287!' 344 yelled out as he stopped mutilating Kanesaki to let him try to talk. He couldn't muster up many words, they just came out as hoarse breaths. Eventually, words came out.
'Give... Akio... Back... You tool...'
344 looked down at Kanesaki, a hint of disgust in his expression. Kanesaki tried to continue but 344 kicking him in the head with lightning speed. Oki couldn't even react in time to what he had seen. The only noise was the sound of Kanesaki's neck snapping back against the stone behind him. The winning Chimera walked back to grab his axe, returning to his master.
'Rogue Chimera 287 eliminated.'
Oki grinned slightly as he moved his pistol to it's holster. Kanesaki's corpse twitched slightly, his fingers moved a little atop each other. The two went to recover Akio's body until they were stopped. A simple doorstep alerted then both.
Kanesaki was alive, his eyes spiraling further into emptiness. Oki didn't waste any time in drawing out his pistol and firing two shots directly into Kanesaki's body; one in the neck and one in the head. Kanesaki's head was thrown back as blood sprayed out, Oki celebrated with a grin. The body stayed standing.
'I only met you a few hours ago and I really wanna kill you, bastard.'
Oki looked into Kanesaki's eyes as his head raises back up like some zombie. What he saw were the eyes of no monster, weapon or phantom; they were the eyes of a human... A human with the intent to kill. 'What kinda Chimera is this!?' The Chimera picked up his broken blade and examined it before suddenly plunging it into his own body. Blood poured out and he himself coughed up blood, but he didn't care. Pulling the blade back out, it had somehow been fixed, now longer than previously. Kanesaki's eyes twitched and his neck clicked with every movement.
Oki fired of more shots. Kanesaki ran at insane speed, swerving past each bullet with ease as he seamlessly made his way to the officer, locking eyes with him before slicing his arm off in brutal fashion. Blood flooding out from the wound, Kanesaki didn't care for waiting, he instantly stepped over the arm to cut directly across Oki's throat.
He could hardly breathe as his body fell back to the floor. His eyes darted over at 344, still stood by Akio's body. Oki's mouth opened, his breathing was hoarse as he spoke his last words.
'CL7-344... Be the useful weapon you've always been... Kill him...'
344, watching the officer choke on his own blood and die, nodded slowly. 'Yes, master.' He removed his dark grey coat and tossed it over to the ground before rolling up the sleeves of his blood-soaked white shirt. The two paced around each other silently. Only one Chimera was to leave this fight, only one officer was to have their body recovered.
