Lillian continued walking alone, her gaze wandering as she observed her environment and spotted some giant sock monsters loitering around. Suddenly, she noticed a wild boar nearby. It was quite the bore and not worth thinking about. Many people seemed to have become self-destructive, with fandoms and cults destroying each other. It was best not to interfere with wildlife and let nature take its course, even though none of this world was entirely natural—everything was just a series of 1s and 0s. Lillian checked her eBunnee stats again and saw that her view count still showed a shut eye. "So still, nobody is watching me?!"
"Lillian!!" a voice beside her said. Somebody spotted Lillian in her secret hiding place behind the translucent slime tower?! How?!"
"I missed you so much!!! But now I'm here, by your side, in spirit! Hehe~! To help you in Mask... 'The Mask,' will now smile!"
Lillian's eyes widened in disbelief, her expression reflecting a mix of shock and joy. "Larisa!" Lillian exclaimed. "At least play a slow music box or something so I know you're approaching! You scared the pug out of me!"
Larisa just stared at her, overly ecstatic to see Lillian again. "Sow-wee, I took so long; I was busy with the class selection screen, and it took me ages to pick my class."
"But... but... HOW?!"
"How what? Huh?!!"
"How... I mean, how did you manage to join my VR game? I-I mean, you can't put on VR glasses; you are... you are not a physical being. What are you doing here?! I... I am happy to see you. I am just so utterly bewildered right now."
Lillian stared at Larisa. VR had managed to recreate her perfectly, with all the semi-translucent beings with long, luscious silver hair and skin radiating glittering particles, an endearing smile, and big eyes. Larisa noticed her looking and said, "I just had to hold your hand while you connected to the game. You looked so nervous, and I couldn't bear to see you battle alone. Then you vanished from sight, and I felt like crying, but silly ads blocked my view! After that, I spent time picking my class and other things, and now I am here, with you. Giggle"
Lillian couldn't help but smile, feeling overwhelmed with joy as she pondered to herself, "So, you're holding my hand right now in the real world? But you don't have a physical body and cannot hold my hand?"—regardless, her doing this is hella-kitty cute, but this situation overall is too confusing. But whatever, I do like how she's using my wordage like "sow-wee"; it makes me feel happy inside. Lillian's thoughts were going all over the place.
What about her abilities here? Oh—I get it now. Things are starting to make sense. We are duo partners, so we share the same abilities. That closed eye on my profile isn't showing whether my viewers are asleep or not watching; it's indicating that we are invisible and nobody can see us! I have the same power and abilities as Larisa!
I mean, I could have just picked the ghost class and had them, but getting them this way is much cooler. I haven't looked up what skills being a Kassy-stan class gave me, but it looked enticing at the time.
