The child lay within a blue crib, soft blankets wrapped around him. Sitting next to him was a woman, who's hair barely touched her shoulders.
She was reading a book as a light shone onto the child. The door to their left opened, and the woman stood. Immediately bowing as a man in robes walked in. A crown floated above his head, "Lord Venous, the council spoke of your arrival. I had not thought you would appear so soon, " the woman spouted.
"Worry not, my Lady, I am early. The event was supposed to happen next sunrise. I simply wish to see the child." Venous said.
The woman stood, quickly walked toward the child. She waved for the Lord to come closer. She lifted the blankets.
The lord now stood tall before them, his light blue eyes gazing gently onto the boy.
"He is rather strange. I see why the mother would react in such a manner." His words ripped into the air. "I must go now, the sun sets."
Outside. The Moon loomed over, and it was blinding light consuming the sky. A song of sorrow flowed through the air. At the edge of the tower, a figure stands. Its orange eyes glow through the night.
