He was teleported straight into this dark cave, landing on a stone platform. Without warning, a stone statue holding a long sword struck him down. He had no time to react. In truth, he died without even realizing it.
As Rave's lifeless body lay upon the platform, it began to glow—not with bright white or any dazzling color, but in an abyssal dark, emanating a strange energy that made it seem to shine even in the deepest shadows of the cave.
The energy began to swirl, moving toward Rave's motionless body, consuming him whole and wrapping him in its dark embrace. It was a chilling sight. The blackish energy, resembling a slimy substance, crawled over his body like growing veins, spreading and covering him completely.
On a vast, green plain, the short grass swayed peacefully in the cool breeze. It was a serene and beautiful scene. Yet, there on the ground, Rave lay unconscious. His body was completely intact, with no missing parts. There wasn't even a scratch or a trace of blood on his clothes.
At the sound of wild beasts growling nearby, Rave's eyes shot open. His heartbeat quickened, and sweat drenched his body. The bright sunlight flooded his vision, but his only thought was to check his legs and other body parts.
To his astonishment, everything was fully intact, and even there wasn't a single wound on him.
"What? I'm alive. But how?" Rave exclaimed. Moments ago, he had been teleported to an unknown place, only to die without understanding why or how. And now, he was alive, as if everything that had happened before was just a nightmare.
Taking a deep breath, he muttered, "Damn it. Is this all just a nightmare?" With that, he began observing his surroundings. Rave was new to this world. Before him stood a herd of beasts resembling zebras but having more muscular body and one or two horns on their heads. They emittind a strange and powerful aura.
Rave who watching them was clearly able to feel it. It was not any foul or dark aura. It was an energy filled with thoughts of those beasts clearly instructing him not to mess with them.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, an almost transparent screen materialized in front of him, accompanied by a robotic female voice.
"What the hell?" Rave jolted back in shock at the sudden appearance. But after a moment, he steadied himself, regaining his footing, and cautiously approached the screen. "Again? Why do all these f*cking things keep happening to me?" he muttered in a tone of disappointment, his frustration evident as he began reading the information displayed.
Then, his hair stood on end at what he saw.
