"Focus, Dante! This guy is freakin' annoying! Those spirals are movin' at a different pace since he took that pill he had been hiding." he thought to himself before dodging another hurdle of spirals. He jumped away from multiple attacks as Gordon guided his attacks from each pillar, forcing him to dodge and slice away the spirals. Dante moved inside the pillars while the others outside continued caring for the other adventurers.

The fire continued to burn as the clouds had now turned to a dark gray. Terra who'd continually tried to create her magic spell to disperse the widespread flames. Her arm trembled as she lifted it to the sky after trying multiple times, but her mana seemed to have been drained from the previous battle. Her breaths became shaky as she slowly became frustrated with what was happening. Even if she was able to help fight off the adventurers, she wouldn't be able to help Dante in his fight as the responsibility had been left in his hands; Xavien ended up getting hurt because of her, and the town was in this situation because of her even deciding to sneak off.
Her eyes began to water as the frustration of the situation began to weigh on her mind. She repeated the spell's name multiple times before screaming out.
"Why isn't it working!? Why am I running out at the worst possible time!?" she yelled, huffing loudly. She looked up to the sky and saw that the clouds would form, but nothing would come from them. She was convinced that her mana had run out entirely. Terra knew that she was giving it all she could, but it seemed not enough to actually make a difference in the trouble she had caused for this village because of her actions. She began to feel hopeless before she felt two hands touch her shoulders. She turned to see Rita and Xavien touching her shoulders. She didn't know how they'd been able to stand from their injuries and fatigue from before, but they spoke to her.
"You've got some spunk girl. I wouldn't have thought you were a student," Rita said, giving her shoulder a small tap. It surprised her that she spoke so earnestly to her, especially after being the cause of such trouble. Xavien continued in a shaky voice afterward.
"You…may be a hassle, but you gotta be the one to stop the fire…" his words made Terra look down with a defeated look. Not being able to believe in their chances without her mana being recovered. The two looked up in the sky before realizing that she'd been able to cast a large-range water spell yet didn't have enough mana to activate it. Suddenly, tiny feet were heard running towards them; Mya appeared to be holding something in her hand.
"Miss Rita! I think this might help!" she yelled as she tripped, and it fell out of her hand. It appeared to be one of the pills that the members of the adventurers dropped from scuffling with Xavien before. Rita instinctively grabbed it before Mya fell into Xavien, who caught her before she could fall on her face. Rita inspected it and realized quickly what it was.
"It's a freakin' affinity pill!" she yelled as she looked at Terra, who was still down at the current moment. Mya continued to talk, explaining how she found it.
"After taking down the bad guys, we found these on them. They seemed to carry a few, and we found one that matched your element. Maybe it could help give you the boost you need to take out the fire!" she yelled excitedly as Rita rubbed her head vigorously. "You just might have given us the boost we need, kid. Hey, you, noble girl."
"Wha-"
"Eat this."
She said, forcing her to take the pill by pushing the pill into her mouth forcefully, causing Terra to be shocked by the action. She began to cough loudly before settling down. She turned to Rita and yelled.
"What was THAT for!?"
"These things give you a mana boost. They're harder to come by, but they're worth a pretty buck in my time in the kingdom. If you wanna put that fire out and help my lil dove, you'll need this."
"Even so, you don't just-"
A burst of energy filled Terra's body as her mana expanded like the men did. Feeling it course through her body, her eyes began to glow a bright blue again. Many gathered around the area. She lifted her wand again, and the others held onto her. Giving her whatever mana they could muster to help raise the spell's potency. Hands began to reach out to the sky in the direction of her as the clouds began to culminate into the darkest of gray. Water particles began to fill the air as it all began to rise to the sky.
"Thank you…everyone!" she yelled sc, reaming out the spell's name again, this time brimming with confidence and hope.
"Inragavi!"
Suddenly, with one more roar of the clouds, a vast mass of rainfall began covering the area everyone gathered in. Pellets of rain suddenly fell to the ground and slowly began to smother out the flames that covered the Tavern and many of the surrounding buildings. The villagers started to cheer as the fire finally ceased. Everyone cheered loudly that they'd been able to take care of some of the threat, but those cheers soon turned to worry as the lot turned to the pillared cage set in the center of the town.
"Dante's still stuck in there with that lunatic!" One of the men yelled before the commotion began to rise once more. They began to try to attack the pillars which had been closing them off from everyone else. Terra slowly began to settle as her energy had been all used up from casting a rather complex spell.
Suddenly, she held her head as a harsh pang of pain hit her; her head pounded harshly before she fell backward as she writhed in pain from the mysterious pills' side effects. She grits her teeth as she lets out a yelp from the sudden pain.
"Is this…the effect of using these things…!?" she thought before her eyes began to get hazy, but she was then caught from behind. Terra slowly looked up before realizing who it was that had seen her.
"Ma'am…?"
Rita caught her in her arms and looked down at her with a thoughtful smile. Tired from expending her energy with her last spell, Terra gave her a small smile before slowly passing out in her arms.
