We shared a laugh with one another in the moment. I ended up sitting back on the bed and continuing to talk with him, asking what has happened since I passed out from my own mana exhaustion from before.
He thought about it for a second before speaking, making sure to be as expressive as possible. From everyone pitching in to help take care of them and the injured, to how everyone helped with the repairs of the parts of town that got messed up during the attack. Even the Sylph's Retreat, in which they would be visiting after I woke up.
"You also were asleep for a whole day, it's surprising it took you so long to wake up. I kept knockin' out while I waited y'know." he said as putting his nose in the air, as if he was somewhat disappointed in how long I took. I gave him a shrugging motion as a smile filled my face. It was nice to hear everything turned out fine from the events. Though now that it was all over, if there would be consequences from not only the higher ups back home if we're found, but the townspeople here. The worry filled my thoughts before Dante reached out and placed his hand on my shoulder. The touch startled me out of my thoughts before seeing that toothy grin once more.
"Don't sweat the details, the others are waitin' for us cmon!" He then took my hand and dragged me along out of the room. I turned back to see the old man, wearing a smile on his face before being fully taken out of the room. He pulled me along down a long hallway before reaching the door that led outside. He opened the door quickly and the sight of what was there surprised me.

There were many people surrounded around tables set outside, food and drink were spread amongst each. Many of the people seen the day before were there, including the kids and the townspeople. Their eyes traced back to the door, seeing Terra and Dante exit happily. Many cheers and shouts were heard from the crowd as they clapped loudly. Terra smiled and waved politely while Dante stood proudly, they were surrounded quickly and many questions came flying in for Terra.
"We didn't know you were such a talented mage, you're from the kingdom right?"
"What caused you to come all the way out here?"
"Well, we're thankful you did! You two saved our hinds!"
"Did you eat anything yet? There's plenty to go around…"
The questions continued as everyone conversed amongst each other, even the kids came along soon after. Seemingly excited to see the two again, the three lined up in front of the two.
"Dante! Terra! You guys are finally all better, you had us worried!"
"It's nice to see you two again, don't scare us like that!"
"I'm happy…"
Dante stepped forward as he began to rub each of their heads and laugh, he seemed to be feeling the high of victory as he began to tell them of everything. Terra looked around the crowd, wondering where Xavien could be, he was pretty hurt in the process, but she was told he had been outside already at this point. She looked around until she noticed a familiar face.
"Xavien…?"
"O-Oh…hey Terra…!"
He seemed to be stuck in a rather particular situation., as his head was being held tightly under the arm of a woman holding a pint.
"Is that-"
"Uh oh, she got some drink in her…" Dante said as he turned to see Rita draped over Xavien who seemed to not really enjoy the "closeness" Dante's caretaker was giving him.
"Hey kid…tell me a bit more about those spells ya know…I'm not the best with *hic* those…"
"Well…I could tell you if…you'd let go…"
"Huh? Why would I let you go after finally gettin' my hands on a…"
Her eyes averted over into the direction of Dante and Terra, her eyes widened as she finally let go and began to walk over. Clearly drunk out of her mind, Terra put her hands up as she wasn't too sure what'd happen in the situation. Before she could speak, she held out her arms and pulled Terra in closely. Though she smelled like ale, her hug was warm and tender like a mother's touch. Terra accepted it graciously and was happy to be treated so nicely after everything that has transpired.
"It's good to see ya up girlie, how ya feeling?"
"I feel fine Miss Rita, thank you all for taking care of us."
"It was nothing, especially after everything you guys have done."
She took a moment to look over and see the Tavern, though the repairs were still pretty new and shabby with scattered wooden boards placed every so often. Rita continued as everyone went on to talk about how everything turned out, Terra and Dante were handed meals as the crowd ate together. Terra looked to see Xavien sitting and being surrounded by the kids, questioning him of how he fought the "scary man" during the fight, while one of them seemed to be more interested in other things.
"Say…"ahhh"..."
"You really don't have to…"
"Come on, let me feed you to thank you!"
"No, seriously it's not needed…"
