Chapter 41 - Chapter 41

Ivonne's POV

"I want to drive Tobias," I declared as he again took the car key away from me to hand to Leornard one of his skillful wards whom he also informed me about his good driving skills.

"You can but not yet," he shook his head at me, blue eyed gaze unwavering as they pointed at me. "You still need to get familiar with our roads and environment."

"Tobias," I said his name in a sigh as I ran my fingers through my hair, glaring at his relaxed posture in only a pair of black sweatpants, his upper body naked, sweaty and tempting after training with the warriors. "I've spent a month here."

"Is a month enough?" He questioned, lifting a brow.

"To me it is," I almost whined. "As for the roads, I've memorized the map and know my way around."

"Hmmmm," he let out, forehead crinkling in thought.

"Besides when I came looking for you back then, I drove here remember?" I tried to refresh his memory. There was silence for some moments as the maids and others in hearing range quietly listened to our conversations.

"True, however it's a bit different now," he argued and I couldn't be able to stop the groan of frustration that left my lips.

"How is it so?" I asked in a calm tone, despite my body language. My feet which were clad in the white sneakers I wore beneath black cargo pants and a white tank top tapped simultaneously on the ground.

"Because now you are the Luna of the Moon Pack," he elaborated.

I scoffed at that, prompting him to tilt his head to the side in surprise as my werewolf hearing picked up a few shocked gasps from our audience. "Like I haven't been a Luna before."

"Well this time you are not just a Luna," he started and took a step toward me, prompting me to retreat when my back met the body of the maroon colored rangerover sport. "You are the Luna of the strongest pack in the world and fucking mine by that mark on your neck."

"After the rogue signs I figured you'd be sensible to take my words for it," he breathed down on my face, his chest an inch away from my body. "I never prohibited you from going anywhere, rather let someone drive you."

"I know you are concerned about my safety but what does that have to do with if I'm driving or not?" I raised a question and smiled at him. "I'll be fine Tobias."

"Why do I have the feeling you wouldn't," he peered at me intensely, my breath and heart rate picked up due to our proximity and though it was impossible I prayed he wouldn't catch the sound. "Hmm?"

"I promise Tobias, nothing will happen," I pleaded, hoping deep down I would. "I miss driving and doing some things on my own."

"I don't stop you from doing things Ivonne," he announced which I knew was the truth. "I don't like repeating myself but I'll say it again. I'm concerned for your safety."

"I don't like repeating myself either," I said in the same manner, my lips curling in a smug smile. "But here I am trying to assure you I'd be fine."

"Let's hope your silent prayers are answered," he bent his head to whisper in my ear, his words and gesture catching off guard such that my lids widened.

"You heard my thoughts," I groaned in exasperation, forgetting for the thousandth time he could hear me after we mated days ago. Heck his mark on my neck was enough to remind me, rather it always skipped my mind.

"I did," he smirked and kissed me lightly. "Let's hope you return fine and in a good mood."

"Why?" I inquired, curiousity getting the better of me as I resisted the urge to brush his hair away from his face.

"Because," his lips touched mine for a second before he continued. "You are surely gonna get punished for being stubborn."

I should have felt scared as his voice carried seriousness and his blue eyes sharpened in sincerity. Rather his words caused a stir in my system and invoking me to squeeze my legs as I my pussy buzzed in excitement.

He took a step back, his chin tucked upwards as a smug expression took over his facial features at my reaction. I groaned in defeat and pushed him to the side while he tried to hold in a chuckle.

About to pull open the driver's door I remembered and did a 180 to face him. My palm stretched out I said, "the keys."

Shoulders standing proud, eyes twinkling in amusement, he placed the key on my palm but not without kissing the tip of my fingers which left me surprised and blushing at the same time.

Huffing, I unlocked the car and tugged the door ajar, climbing in. As I secured my seatbelt in place I heard Tobias giving out orders. "Leonardo, stay in the passenger seat. Lora and two of you, at the back."

I keyed the ignition and started the engine while my company got into the vehicle. While they settled in, I blew the horn at the sedan in front which was filled with guards to alert them I was ready.

"Drive safe," Tobias warned, showing me his concerned but still amused face at through the window.

Putting on a sweet smile I winked at him. "I will." ^^^^^^^

"Is this the only kiddies store around?" I inquired, my head leaning on my hands which were gripping the steering wheel tightly as I peered at the shop with the closed sign on my left.

"Yes Luna," Annalise one out of two of the maids who were officially assigned to follow me everywhere I went answered.

"Yes to it being the only store?" I interrogated and she nodded prompting me to sigh. "The one back at the Blood pack never seems to function even though going there would cause a whole lot of drama."

"Who knew where they went," Lora murmured in more of a statement than a question from behind me.

"I need to get stuffs for the kids," I sighed in exasperation at the situation. "I can't show up empty handed."

"We can send them over tomorrow," Janetta the other maid of mine suggested and I thought it over.

"Nah," I shook my head as I declined the suggestion. "I want to see the look on their faces when they open their gifts."

"It would have been nice to see," Lora inputted in a sad tone. "However I don't think there's anything we can do Luna."

"We must do something," I raised my head from the steering and began tapping my forefinger on it.

After coming up with nothing I turned to my right where the ever silent Leonardo was sat with a stoic expression. "Any ideas?" I quizzed. "Or know any other kids store?"

He was quiet and I was about to ask if he heard me when he responded. "There's a store not too far away, nonetheless it's in the human world and I'm not sure if it's safe."

"What are you doing?" Leonardo asked as I made a speedy u-turn and took a different route.

"I know this leads to the human territory," I mumbled, stepping hard on the pedal and smiled at him. "I'll need your directions to the store when we get there."

"Luna, the Alpha has to approve of this first," Leonardo spoke up as I didn't directly answer his question.
