Ivonne's POV
The days's events had died down and everyone had left Tobias's premises. The wedding and inauguration had gone well without any mishaps despite the fact it was all a facade to get what we both wanted.
I and Tobias played our roles well and it really felt like I had someone by my side. The whole preparations was rushed in a week, however everything was well planned and it appeared as if we'd set it up for ages.
The sweetest part about the day was the expression on Lincoln and Allison's faces, it was so priceless I had wished I had taken a picture or made a portrait to mark the day.
Only Allison had come up to show her distaste, while Lincoln just observed from the sidelines and didn't even utter a word when Tobias and I greeted him after the inauguration.
He only forced a smile and nodded while dragging a pissed off Allison with him. It didn't take long for us to notice they had both left the area and the pack.
They happened to be the first guests to leave which was shocking but nonetheless expected. It was past 11pm and the last pack members had left an hour ago, leaving the whole place quiet.
It took Lora and the other pack maids 45 minutes to get everywhere cleaned up. There was much to do but they got it all done in record time.
The pack warriors had stacked up the chairs in the back garden where the wedding took place and had carted them off to the pack house where they belonged.
Aside from the wedding ceremony which had taken place in the garden, the inauguration and oath taking was done in the vast hall which occupied the whole down floor of the pack house.
I was propped on the lounge chair beside the floor to ceiling window of Tobias room where I would now be sleeping in. The man in question had left some minutes ago to have a word with the guards and warriors as he had informed me before stepping out.
He was a bit antsy and when I asked he had simply said rogues and enemies of the pack might use the night as an opportunity to strike thus they might think the festive day had made everyone lower their guard.
I had nodded in understanding after which he had left. I didn't bother to get changed hence I knew what was to happen when he returned. Besides I'd need help to loosen the strings of the dress so it all worked out.
His room was more spacious than mine. A king sized bed sat in the center with white and black patterned sheets and pillow cases, the white painted wall which was surprising because I thought he'd love dark colors.
The soft carpet was of a red hue, same as the lounge chair I was on and the sofa on the left side of the room. A floor length mirror was pinned beside the couch and a large clock was hung on the right side of the wall where I sat.
A large screen TV took up the remaining space except for a door which if I was not mistaken would lead to the bathroom and maybe a closet thus I hadn't seen anything of the sort.
While I noted what his room looked like, I thought over the events that took place. It wasn't a new thing to me to be inaugurated as the Luna thus it was for the second time in my life. On the other hand I observed a slight difference in their procedures.
Unlike the blood pack where I was from, the moon pack has the wrist of their Alpha and soon to be Luna slit instead of the thumb finger like the blood pack.
I was a bit scared hence despite the fact we had impeccable healing as werewolves, the wrist was a risky place as it had the pulsing vein there which could lead to high blood loss if healing is delayed.
The door of the room creaked open and Tobias strode in. Kicking the door shut, he appeared ruggedly handsome as always under the light as his gaze briefly shifted to me while he turned toward the mirror and unclasped his watch, dropping it on the vanity table there.
"Why do you slit wrists and not any other part of the body?" I blurted out the question before I could think, his powerful presence already messing with my head.
"Would you prefer they slit your leg?" He asked in a chuckle as he whirled around to face me, half of his body leaning on the table as he angled his head to peer down at me with his deep blue eyes.
"It was a rhetorical question," I scoffed, feeling a bit embarrassed at how I popped the question.
"I know," he smirked at my reaction and I huffed. "We all know the wrist is a risky part of the body. So agreeing to slit your wrist is like being ready to take on whatever risk to be with the Alpha and also accept the whole pack as yours."
"What if someone dies?" I implored, wondering if things went the wrong way instead.
"Well that someone won't be you," he declared in a tone that carried affirmation. "Because there's no way I'll let my wife die on me."
"And you didn't," I beamed, hauling my weight into a standing position. "Because I'm here now."
"You are," he mumbled and straightened his posture. "And you are all mine."
His statement and the deep voice made me gulp as he slowly circled the bed separating us and approached me. The light blue of his eyes darkened to a cloudy navy, the tension which was barely noticeable before cracking with each step he took in my direction.
I couldn't move as he pinned me with his intense stare, goosebumps lining my skin when he hadn't even touched me yet. Coming to stand a few inches away from me, he ordered in a hushed but steady voice. "Turn around."
"Hmmm?" I questioned, not sure I heard correctly.
"Turn around Ivonne," my name sounded like a spell on his lips and in that moment my body obeyed his words while I gulped as my back was now facing him.
His fingers brushed my back as I felt him pull on the strings of my dress which held the corset in place. My breath paused as electricity pulsed through me while his hand got busy in loosening the crisp-cross pattern.
I sensed him take a step closer and his breath fanned my neck as he was succeeding in the task. In a few minutes which felt like hours, the dress came undone, revealing my bare back to his view.
"Fuck," I heard him hiss as his vision endured the sight he was gifted with. The next thing his nose brushed my skin as he whispered, "you know what comes next right?"
Inhaling, I closed my lids for moments as I tried to gain control of my wits which were quickly deserting me in that moment, I exhaled and gradually did a half twirl, stopping as I faced him, his lips mere inches from mine as he gawked at me.
"I do," I answered in a shaky voice and lifted my gaze to his. "I'm all yours from now Tobias."
