Chapter 7 - Gacha

The dormitory was still and quiet, bathed in the soft glow of moonlight streaming through the high windows of Ravenclaw Tower. Jason lay in bed, staring at the canopy above him. His roommate Vik was already asleep in the adjacent bed, his breathing soft and steady. Jason couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement—his first night at Hogwarts had been everything he'd hoped for.

Just as Jason's eyelids began to droop, a sharp ding echoed in his head. Startled, he sat up, looking around. A faintly glowing panel materialized in front of him, bearing a message in bold letters:

This is a prerecorded message.

Jason frowned. "What the—"

Before he could finish, a familiar voice filled his ears:

"Hello, Jason! The weak one, the orphan one!"

Jason groaned. "Oh no, it's Gojo."

The voice continued with infuriating cheer. "I know the system is late, but well, well, there's a reason behind that. What if you got my abilities somehow? I don't want you to become strong before your first year. That would take all the fun out of it, you know?

Now here's the deal: the system will grant you random items or abilities—mostly ten tries—every year you live. Meaning you'd better pray you get something useful every time. And oh, you'll only be able to use it on your birthday. A rare occasion, no?

Since this is my little gift to you, I've rigged the system to give you something to start. Sayonara, Jason! Have fun~!"

The message ended with a fading chuckle, and Jason stared at the floating screen in front of him. It read:

SPIN: 11

Jason grinned, barely able to contain himself. He glanced over at Vik, still fast asleep. Vik seems like a good guy—quiet, shy—but I don't think he'd appreciate me waking him up for this.

Jason swung his legs out of bed, careful not to make noise, and tiptoed out of the room. The soft creak of the door startled him, but when Vik didn't stir, he exhaled and padded quietly down the hall to the bathroom.

Inside the bathroom, Jason locked the door and stared at the glowing screen. His hand hovered over the SPIN button. "Alright," he whispered. "Here we go." He pressed it.

The wheel spun rapidly, and Jason waited with bated breath until it stopped.

1. Michael Myers Mask.

Summon? Y/N

Jason blinked. "Cool… but useless." He hit "Summon," and the mask materialized in his hands. Its eerie, pale face stared back at him. "No inventory, huh? Great. Guess I'll stash this in my room later."

He set the mask aside and hit SPIN again. The wheel whirred, the tension building before it landed on:

2. Three-Leaf Grimoire with a note: 'My gift, enjoy.'

Jason's jaw dropped. "Oh. My. God!" he shouted, his voice echoing off the tiles.

A loud thud sounded from the next stall, followed by a groggy voice. "What the bloody hell's going on?!"

Jason froze. "Uh, sorry, senior!" he called out hastily. "A ghost popped up where it shouldn't have!"

"Calm down, first year," the older student grumbled. "It's the middle of the night!"

Jason winced. "Sorry again!" He waited until he heard the student shuffle away before letting out a relieved sigh. "Close one."

He clicked SPIN again, muttering to himself, "Let's keep going. I'll summon these things later."

3. Naruto's Sexy Jutsu.

Jason raised an eyebrow. "Not bad… but I'll save that for emergencies , kaguya level emergencies."

4. Dio Brando's Clothes.

"Why does this have such a serial killer vibe?"

5. Mandy's Panties.

Jason recoiled. "Oh no. NO. Who's rigging this? FBI is not raiding Hogwarts because of me!" He marked it for disposal immediately.

6. One-Time FBI Free Card.

Jason sat in stunned silence, then muttered, "The universe has a cruel sense of humor."

7. Underwater Breathing (Origin: Ariel).

Finally, Jason perked up. "Now this is good. Really good."

8. Shinchan's Fart.

"I don't even want to think about this one."

9. Mega Man Suit (Lower Body).

Jason grinned. "Alright, now we're talking! Flying around in style—though I need to test if magic interferes with tech."

10. Kevin De Bruyne's Game Knowledge, Passing Ability, and Vision.

Jason let out a low whistle. "Nice. I'm a wizard now, but I'll definitely take some football genius on the side."

Jason leaned back against the bathroom wall, letting out a contented sigh. "No world-breaking powers yet, but this isn't bad at all. Gojo's nonsense aside, it's a decent start."

jason headed back to his room. The quiet of the dormitory felt comforting after the whirlwind of spins.

Jason slid under the covers, careful not to wake Vik, and stared at the ceiling. His first day at Hogwarts had been extraordinary, and with the system now in play, he knew his magical journey was about to get even crazier.
