Cedric was not willing to wait for the creature to even attempt its vile tricks, but curiosity was a powerful drive of humanity, to abandon it is to be no better than a demon.
It rose from the throne slowly, its movement meant to intimidate as it gripped the Fleshy tendril that was Its weapon.
"I have noticed you following me, and yet it was so difficult to track you..." Tormentor spoke, its voice showing both respect and scorn.
<
"Not only that... [Dominate Mind] does not work on you...My pride and joy." Tormentor's yellow eyes glowed with sickly light.
<
"Countless victims, countless armies turned against their masters. By my mere word."
<
"And yet... You resist it like it's nothing..."
<
Despite sounding disappointed, Cedric could tell that Minotaur was rejoicing at the opportunity to fight someone capable of resisting his mind control.
The pleasure of a demon is something that a lesser man would have no choice but to accept and suffer the consequences, but unfortunately for the demon, he wasn't facing a lesser man.
"You are facing God's Chosen, Cedric!" Cedric raised Equilibrium as he faced the demon.
The size difference was massive and yet a relatively tiny armored man stood before a Giant that by any logic should crush him.
And yet Giant hesitated, it had never before encountered a man that could resist his mind control, and even defeat the blood constructs that were the bane of many warriors.
To say he defeated them was an understatement, Minotaur's pride and joy that were blood constructs were erased without a trace and not even a scratch on the warrior before him.
Demon couldn't resist but be excited. It had been so long since he could go all out, and now he sat in the tower, constructed in a way to allow him easy access to the blood he accumulated over his life.
It was as Demon wished, a proper challenge. And yet he did not know the race of the man before him.
"What are you, mighty warrior?" The demon spoke, his voice not carrying [Dominate Mind] within it.
"Huh... Why are you asking such a question?" Cedric was stumped, why was a demon asking him, why was it not blindly attacking?
"To know challenger's race, and to know one's name. Those aspects honor the legacy of mighty warriors." The minotaur spoke, his words carrying a great deal of respect.
'Why...?' Cedric was confused, no he was insulted.
"I am a human you wretched creature!" Cedric shouted, pride clearly present in his tone, to be a human was to be a God's child.
"A human? How did a human get here?" Minotaur's yellow eyes dimmed for a moment.
<
"And to think I was to give you respect worthy of a warrior..." As Tormentor gripped his whip, blood pipes burst open, flooding the floor in an ankle-deep pool of blood.
<
"To think, a mere human was able to not only resist me. But kill my dear constructs. For that sin, you will suffer a fate worse than death." Tormentor's earlier respectful tone disappeared, completely replaced by hatred.
<
'Ah here it is, as I expected,' Cedric chuckled, of course, a demon would react so negatively at a human's presence.'
This demon liked to talk, but considering it used its voice as a conduit for [Dominate Mind] it made sense.
God's voice assured him that he was safe from demonic possession, after all, he was a vessel of God's will. Mere creatures of darkness would burn to ash for even daring approach.
"Lord Iguva had appointed 4 champions to prevent the humans from pushing into our territory. And yet seems that we failed our duty. " Minotaur's disappointment was evident.
"I Must Rectify this mistake!" With a crack of his whip, every pipe burst, covering both Tormentor and Cedric in blood, and pools of innumerable blood constructs emerged.
Multiple singularities appeared each beating like a heart before creating at least 5 greater blood constructs.
<
He had heard enough of this demon speak, despite his wish to hear God's Voice constantly he wished for the cause to not be a filthy demon.
[Divine Storm], With the activation of his skill all constructs collapsed, leaving Minotaur in extreme shock.
'I am interested in this Iguva, but this demon lived for far too long. God forgive me for letting such a disgusting creature live for this long.' By letting such a creature live for too long he had already failed God.
"There is a mistake I must fix myself. I shall learn of this Iguva differently. Die. DEUS VULT!" Cedric charged, almost instantly appearing behind Tormentor.
[Torment], Tormentor tried to use his skill, and yet the skill failed to activate. It was far too late.
[Holy Strike], Cedric slashed at the Minotaur, Cutting off its head like it was made of paper.
The body sank in the sizzling blood pool as Cedric sighted.
'Such a vile creature, and I allowed it to speak... Humanity would fight itself to death if this creature was able to escape.'
The blood slowly drained away, disappearing into specialized drains meant to bring the Blood supply into the special vault underneath the tower.
"Time to see if Aurelia was successful." He gazed towards the Western tower, his [God's Eye] scanning the parties as effortlessly as always.
They were still fighting, and Guardians seemed to be dead. Archangel was about to kill the Fallen angels before a link was established between him and his summon.
[O CREATOR! [Entity: Aurelia] had proposed to extract information about lord Iguva from these two [Fallen Angels] before killing them...]
What a surprise it was for him, not only did his [God's Eye] reveal that Aurelia gained a virtue, and lost a sin. She also had the foresight to cripple the Traitors of God and extract information from them. Perhaps she had more potential than he thought.
"And God blesses me once again, a perfect way to learn about this Dark Lord these champions seem to serve."
[Do not kill them, I shall make sure we learn everything we need!] With those words, Cedric cut the connection.
