"mummy... mummy, wake up." There it was... the sweet little voice, she always, and begged to wake up to... the voice to her kids.
Adria opened her eyes, the sunlight hitting hard on her face, and her hand immediately, coming up to block it.
Why did she feel so exhausted?
Suddenly, she heard another soft moan beside her, a manly one infact.
Adria immediately turned, only to see Vythos sleeping beside her, shirtless.
What... What... What happened!
Adria dashed out of the bed, in a panic, taking a long the bed sheets with her, and using it as a cover, to wrap her body.
"W-what are you doing!?" She asked with flustered cheeks.
"What do you mean, what I'm doing? Isn't it obvious... I'm sleeping with my girlfriend." Her face, became even more hot with anger.
She was literally about launching on him, when he began laughing out loud.
"What? What's so funny?" Adria cocked her brow, but the moment she didn't get a response from him, she took a deadly step forward. "You think this is funny, huh?"
Vythos quickly rose his hand in a surrendering way, using that to lure her into the bed. And once he had her there, Vythos reached out for her hand, pulling the living day light out of her, and onto him.
"I was only joking." Their face was close, and Adria gulped, for some reason.
"Let me go!" She said, struggling.
"But I don't want to." He said with a mischievous smirk, and then pulled her into his arms, with the sheet still wrapped around her, and he placed her head over his chest.
"We're not a couple. Let me go!" Adria was getting irritated by his teasing, clearly now trying to fight back.
"But, we're lovers no?" He kept his grip firm , refusing to let her go.
"Ugh!" Adria collapsed on his chest the moment she realized she couldn't do anything more, she strength now completely depleted.
"Tired, huh?" He said with a soft smile, and then ran his fingers through her hair, slowly.
"Y-yes..." Adria replied with a small, tired voice.
"Then sleep." His words were simple, yet they seemed to have a magic to them, for her to obey.
Slowly, she felt her eyelids get heavy, and her mind began to drift away, slowly, and surely.
No! Falling into this cunning man's truck wasn't going to work on her. Adria peeled her eyes open, pushing herself off him, and pointing a finger at him.
"You... You stay there." She gripped onto the bed sheet, and turned for the bathroom.
"Your clothes are still on." He reminded, and Adria felt even more stupid.
"Like I didn't know." The door slammed, and the bed sheet dropped to the floor.
"I was just being kind." Vythos mumbled to himself, and then sat up straight, running a hand through his messy hair.
His gaze wandered off, and he spotted the bed sheet that had fallen off. With a grin, he picked it up, and smelled it, taking in Adria's scent.
"...How I wish you were still mine." His eyes shut close.

Later on, that day.
"Where have you been?" Corry asked, with her old usual rude tone.
And all Adria could do, was reply with a dirty look.
"Tch... I wonder why your still here."
"You know, mother-"
"Don't call me that..." She cut her off.
"Right... Corry, would sound better." Corry looked at Adria in shock.
Calling her name,Ike they were on the same class?
"Even after all, the pictures, and files, you showed to Author, he still love me. While on the other hand..."
"Go on... Finish it... Now you have the guts to speak nonsense to your own mother-in-law!?" Her voice raised.
"I was only saying nothing by the truth... Corry."
Corry had her hand fisted, and her nails were digging into her skin.
"You're a liar!" Corry yelled.
"Then why is he not here. He didn't come back home."
"Ofcourse he wouldn't, with a whore like you around." Corry said with a scoff.
"But, you are the main one to blame, no? Making him have a whore like me... Pathetic." She left a last chuckle behind, making sure it stung where it most hurt.
Corry stood there, watching her leave.
"This... Is my house. Get out!" She yelled.
But Adria continued walking.
A sly smile on her lips.
Finally Adria... You stood up for yourself... No one, and she meant no on, was going to be doing that to her again, now that she has been granted a new chance of life.
Another... Chance of life... Meaning, a change of things too.
It has been a month since she came here, and also a month, since her old self, Veronica, had died, word was yet to spread about her death, and mourning data hadn't been sit yet.
In everyone's words, it was in progress.
A progress that never seemed to want to take a step forward? Or a progress that stayed in one spot?
Heck, they were the same thing! Adria but hard on her nails, hating the fact that he hadn't even made up the effort on planning her own funeral.
How she so hated him!
He was the cause! For everything, for the death of her child, for the death of both her child... And now, he was going to pay, for everything he had done to her back then, for treating her like some slave, for... Betraying her, when she most needed him.
