Azhadi walked into the forest for a couple of steps before he realized something strange on his hip that he hadn't previously due to all the events that had just occurred. There was a bag on his his and there was one on Dahlia's as well.
The bag or more of a small pouch than a bag was a brown color with a goldish hue to it and looked to be filled with a handful of items within.
'What the hell?'
Dahlia who was walking behind him also noticed the bags on their hips and almost in sync they both grabbed the bag with their childish curiosity and opened it.
They both sat down on the ground in the clearing they had landed in and then dumped the items on the ground.
It wasn't much at all, Just between the two of them their were only eight items layed out before them
Dahlia: "huh what's this?"
Dahlia picked up one of the items on the and looked at it.
It looked old almost ancient. it was a lens with the frame of it being a slightly rusted bronze but even though the bronze was rusted yet still maintained a glow to it.
Azhadi: "a monocle?"
Dahlia lifted the lens to her eyes and looked at Azhadi and something appeared next to him. It was a shape similar to that of a ball whirling around filled with energy
Dahlia: "woah that's cool!"
Azhadi: "What! I wanna see too!"
Azhadi grabbed the lens that came he dumped from his bag and lifted it to his eye as well to see what she was seeing.
When he looked through the green hued glass and looked at Dahlia an next to her appeared text and an illustration.
The lines of text that appeared were suprisingly in English and it told him her name.
[Dahlia]
Although the writing was wobbly it was still legiable. Next he looked at the image the lens was making, it was a plant in a circle growing upwards. The green vines thorny yet kind looking although he had no idea how vines could look kind so a better word would be pleasant.
Azhadi: "Woah it's telling me your name!"
Dahlia: "Yeah it's saying yours too!"
After a while they figured out that the images were different for each other and tried to figure what they meant to no avail.
Dahlia: "so umm how did you save me?"
He looked at her confused for a second before it clicked in his brain. If this wasn't a dream how was he able to survive the plummet if not for his wings that had safely- well precariously glided them down.
Azhadi: "I uhh.. actually don't know"
Dahlia: "what do you mean you don't know? You grabbed me and we started slowing down?"
He tried it again, he tried something simple this time around something basic. He imagined it the same time he had before. He thought back to his dreams and though of one where he had made a sword for himself once and tried willing it to reality.
Azhadi: "I guess I did know how I did it."
The steel broadsword appeared in his hand from nothing. The only warning of it the blade forming at all was the few tiny sparks of light that appeared in his eyes.
The broadsword was indeed simple in nature it had no intricate patterns nor detail but it's weight was perfect for his child body.
Dahlia: "Wooaahh how'd you do that?"
He explained to Dahlia how he made the sword but no matter how much she attempted to make her dreams quite literally come true it never worked.
Azhadi: "I guess you just can't do it?"
Dahlia sat in disappointment eating one of two loaves of bread the bags had given them and the other four items being celestial jade coins or atleast that's what the lens said it was. Although the coins seemed to have no real magical qualities to them when he messed around with them.
Dahlia: "man, well whatever let's get out this forest and then maybe we can find someone."
They began walking trying to get out the forest into a clearing to so they could figure out their next move.
Azhadi: so how old are you?
Dahlia who was walking next to him looking at all the plants she was unfamiliar with as they attempted to make their way out.
Dahlia: "I'm 11 and what about you? Actually my birthday is next week from today!"
Azhadi thought for a second trying to figure out when that is.
'huh so December 11th?'
Azhadi: "I'm 12 and my birthday is February 2nd"
Dahlia looked at him in suprise that he was only a year older.
Dahlia: Really!? But you're so tall, how tall are you?
Azhadi just giving a guess to her but last time he checked was around 5'7.
There was something strange with this forest even though they had to have been walking for atleast half an hour they have yet to spot one animal. While this thought entered his mind he heard rustling from the bushes.
Dahlia: "A voice!"
Azhadi: "A voice?"
That is when a fox bolted by them
Azhadi was caught off guard and reflexively swung at him with the broadsword but he had missed the fox pretty badly.
But soon after the fox had bolted by many critters and animals had almost as if they were a panicked crowd.
Dahlia: I- I can hear them!
Azhadi looked at her confusion.
Azhadi: you hear people?
Dahlia: No the animals! I can understand the animals!
Dahlia grabbed Azhadi arm and ran towards where the animals had ran with a fearful expression.
Azhadi: what's happening?
Almost as if the beast itself was hearing it appeared chasing behind them in a hungry desperate dash for survival.
They were simply food for the creature, be it strange looking ones.
He had never see such a creature like it.
It had a scrawny bony body as if it was starved and it's fur was a black onyx color, it was easily twice maybe even thrice his own size with eyes that resemble that of a rabid animal. It's teeth were many and sharp and it's claws were long and deadly and for some awful reason it was bipedal and so now this creature from probably hell with how it looked was trying to kill them for which he could pretty obviously guess from it's appearance that it was hunting.
Dahlia: T- The animals are scared shitless by that thing we have to run!
Azhadi: Obviously!
As in a attempt to slow the beast down Azhadi threw the blade at the creature head to no avail.
The creature simply smacked away the sword not slowing him down in the slightest and had gotten ridden his weapon.
They ran for a solid minute straight and for some strange reason that they had both noticed is that they ran much faster than usual and that their stamina was way better than before but even with that the beast has not lost its pace for its prey.
They were being hunted till exhaustion which was bad even though their stamina for some reason greatly increased the creatures was higher along with its speed also being greater. The only reason they were yet to get caught was with their intelligence. Azhadi and Dahlia weaved through the trees and bushes like hummingbirds which was working for now but he was still catching up.
'I'm… going to die here..'
This thought had filled his mind and echoed endlessly.
As he was being hunted he was starting to realize there was no escape from the beast as it's strange mixed Quadra and bipedal stance had given it the edge in the chase.
Actually this was generous saying the creature had the "edge" it was way superior to their own movements.
The only way out of this that azhadi could think of was stupid and could easily kill him but when he thought of it this was the only way because if he chose the other outcome it would only guarantee his death.
