Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Beginning

– The illumination of the blood moon gazed upon the 'forest of thunder', trees grown in a grotesque way, zig zagging from left to right as if imitating the way lighting strikes the ground from the storm clouds that cover the skies. The name 'forest of thunder' came from a never ending torrent of lightning striking a singular location with gusts of wind blowing through the surrounding tree branches acting as an instrument of torment, creating thunderous noises, with even named monsters staying clear of this inhabitable jungle of death.

Contrasting the pitch black forest, was an unnamed pale ghost… she… was a servant serving the sole heir of the Aurora household.

Her long white hair with hints of grey at the ends tied together into a high ponytail, her soulless black eyes filled with panicked tears dripping out.

Colors a trail of white haze in this midnight forest as she frantically dashes away from the royal castle.

The blood moon started to calm down… its brightness grew more serene into a blue silver hue, as some clouds started to fade from the presence of moonlight.

Replacing…

"We can't have a 'convict' run away can we?" whispered by the silver knight

*Schluck*

Pierced through the beating heart of the nameless servant with a rapier, blood slowly spilled out as the silver knight pulled out his blade. The red slowly stained the white dress of the servant, desperately crawling like a helpless worm on the ground where crows would peck them to death.

"Lu…mine…" she cried out as her body started to grow cold from blood loss

"Oh~ what a shame, your precious master is already waiting for you in the afterlife… I'll help you reunite!" lashing at the servant with his rapier to cause her immense pain, seeing her drenched in blood and wounds made him excited, he took off his silver helmet.

The crown prince… his surreal beauty is something people would beg for just to have a glace, his hair similar to the hue of the moon, his mystic blue starry eyes, with armor decorated with silver lining to complement his beauty… if not for his DISGUSTING PSYCHOPATHIC SMILE, no one would suspected him to have murdered his fiancé… 'lumine aurora' in cold blood for his amusement.

The servant glared at him with no squeal of pain, but instead anger… regret… sadness… a swirl of emotions that couldn't be described. The prince's smile was switched to irritation

"Why aren't you in despair!" he screamed…

In the last moments of the servant's life, she saw the black crows that inhabit the 'forest of thunder' surrounding her, as they were readying for a free long awaited meal. Her world turned dark… THE END –

…

"WHAT THE FUCK MAN" complained Nero, one of the top neurologists and neurosurgeon in the world. Scrolling up and down on his phone to see if he missed anything in the chapter…

"I worked 19 hours to read this? In my break?..." he face palmed. Nero was a overworking optimist that always believe that everything will work out for the better if he just plans ahead, needless to say even if he did planed to happily read the new/last chapter of 'The reign of the moonlight crown prince' nothing was preparing him for this trash ending to his favorite novel.

Sighing as he put his phone away in the locker still turned on… He prepared to go right back into action

"ready"

He said as his assistants aided him in putting on layers to begin the last surgery of the day

"let's get this over with…" he mumbled exhaustedly. As he stepped into the operating room.

Then a never before feeling of dizziness consumed him. It was as if the world was flipped and he lost control of his cognitive and physical function, it was as if needles were poking at him in all directions, losing strength in his legs, he dropped to the floor.

'Ah…' he thought, I'm leaving the world the same way the servant did, isn't it?...

…

Nero's slowly regained consciousness

'Was I saved in time? wait… why can't I see?? Did my nervous system get damage isn't this worse than death?!?!' he panicked.

'No… wait, I can feel my body moving, so I shouldn't be paralyzed'. He stretched but felt the constraints of a hard wall around him, he struggles around to break out, knocking on the wall that confines him as frantically as possible. Luckily it wasn't long until he… hatched?

Feeling the wind blowing on his feathers, the bright-ish light that could be seen despite the storm clouds in the distance. Nero crawled out… and realized that…

"Why the hell am I on a tree branch?" he chirped, realizing something is wrong. He looked back to the wall that contained him. And proved his suspensions correct, the blue green-ish color with speckled shell of an egg, along with black feathers could only mean one thing.

"I'm a crow!" he screeched.

Calming his nerves, Nero's 'parents' soon came back with… 'his meal'. the oh so delicious, bird's favorite meal, earthworms… OH HELL NAW he thought but for whatever reason his crow instantly kicked in when he heard his parents say "eat"

Nero opened his beak and ate the torn pieces of the worm hungrily like it was his first ever meal.

With the trauma-inducing meal out of the way Nero scanned the surrounding scenery of his nest for the first time, looking at the trees grown in an unearthly manner, an unending thunder cloud on top of the forest, the occasional sound of thunder when there was no lighting… In his thoughts, he questions 'why does it feel familiar?'

And soon realized that this jungle of death was eerily similar to the description of the 'forest of thunder'

"... I'm fucked aren't i?!"
