Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Weird Reunion

Zapping towards the sky, the acceleration was… impossibly fast. "As a new named one, I expect this much!". satisfied with the result, Nero hovered in the skies, black lightning with a purple hue was discharged with each instance he flapped his wings like an overcharged cell.

The surrounding thunderclouds cleared up, sunlight that abandoned this forest came to visit at last.

Eager to test his new abilities… Nero charged up…. Dash

*boom*

Thunder soon followed behind Nero as he zipped across the sky, everytime he flapped his wings, Nero expended all his mana, but through his new mana core, mana cells were generated just as quickly as it's being spent, cleaving through the air. However the max capacity was still the same as before…

– Mana capacity is always the same within each species, while creature's mana density varies… the total sum of mana remains the same, quantity and quality. –

In mathematical terms, If one mana cell of high density is 10 out of max capacity of 100, only 10 mana cells could exist. If one mana cell of low density is 1 out of 100 then there'll be 100 mana cells. Though… techniques such as magic would be casted faster with high density.

– If the required mana of said spell exceeds the max capacity it can't be used. –

As black lightning was sent across the skies, Nero soon arrived at Cloud Harrison. Stopping in his tracks, roars of thunder soon caught up. Commoners roaming the streets panicked from the sudden barrage of thunder clapping, as they saw the forest of thunder "the thunderclouds are gone!"chaos soon erupted, mothers that carried their children indoors, fathers that held pitchforks in case of danger, the sound of heartbeats echoing within their houses…

'Fuck…' Nero expressed as he looked flabbergasted… knights that were transporting supplies froze in fear of the sudden change in climate within the forest. NEVER in history has the forest of thunder had clear skies, soldiers that were prepared for an expedition to the forest all cowered in fear, losing the strength in their legs, unitedly calling it off.

'Ah… so they discovered the gemstone after this huh…' Nero scorned. Not wanting to be a part of this… Nero erupted his mana cells and flashed back to the depths of the forest at top speed. Covering long distances in a matter of seconds, the speed was uncontrollably fast, Nero's vision started to narrow, tunnel vision. Traveling at such speeds, processing this much overwhelming information is something the brain needs to compensate by breaking down the visual information into smaller pieces 'I need to slow down!' Hulting his mana, the lightning started to dissipate and his vision gradually started to return.

As Nero decelerates, a black dot appeared from the corner of his eyes when he recovered his vision. "GET AWAY FUCKING CROW!" slamming into his kind mid air.

Like downed fighter jets from a dog fight, the 2 crows descended from the skies, luckily landing into the side of a still pond. Nero emerged from the waters, dragging the crow behind him with his beak, before finally noticing something… "...dad???" Nero face palmed, checking his fathers conditions, "fuck a fatal concussion!" even if he was decelerating, a clash at lightning speed would still result in a fatal death.

Nero panicked, while the feeling of connection within this crow's family is non-existent, He was still a neurologist and the world's top neurosurgeon. Unfortunately, being born as a creature with no human dexterity nor any advanced tools, this level of injury has only one result… death.

'No! There has to be something I can try… right!' A particular memory resurfaced; a recent incident in which, could be possible... Focusing on coating every cell in his body in mana, his body became translucent with a purple hue, gathering his mana, shrinking all his cells together, Nero's body zapped into his father's body.

…

dark…

Nero hovered in nothingness, he turned his body only to see more darkness. With this familiar scene, Nero discharged his lightning mana, illuminating a bright light around him. Tracing down the blood flow, He soon arrived at the cause of the problem.

The brain… Dashing full speed, Nero thoroughly scanned his father's brain, and finally found it… the prefrontal cortex(frontal lobe), dead cells floating around mid air, inflammations on the walls, ruptured blood vessels and most pressing of all, fibers of axons(neurons) are stretched and torn. Thankfully, Nero's sees the speed of blood cells, and estimates that time is flowing slower "i still have time, i need to mend his injuries-"

Nero dashed away to avoid being consumed by the legions of white cells swarming him… leukocytes(white blood cells). Typically, the brain is protected by the blood-brain barrier, a highly selective semipermeable border that blocks white blood cells, but with these injuries…

"shit!" Nero rushes away, armies of white blood cells chased after him. Time is ticking, with each second death is slowly approaching Nero's father.

*zip*

*zap*

Dodging left to right, Nero tagged mana cells to the ends of the fibers, hopping from one after to another. Like stitching wounds together, Nero finally located the last one-

A singular white blood cell swallowed him whole "MOVE!" Shockwaves discharged in all directions and pierced through the cell like a needle through a balloon. Engraving mana cells on the last fiber, like an electromagnet, all the fibers slowly reconnected back together.

"A few minutes should have passed by now… I need to hurry!" condensing his cells further,

'where is it…ah!' Nero found it. The glial and vascular cells, 'there shouldn't be any disturbances here'

Nero thought about this a few times… why did his heart beat so fast when he transcended, the answer was simple. Flowing his mana into the cells of his father, "this'll do… I need more power then this…"

Releasing his grip on mana, Nero returned to his normal size and flew off leaving his father behind.

"I need to increase my capacity" with a confident gaze, the plan has been set.

…

A week's gone by

"Job well down, take a break, I'll talk with you when you wake up" Dick's body falls limb on the ground with a fountain of blood gushing out of his abdomen.

"Hmmm… should be easier by now…" Nero exclaimed, following the same procedures, He shrunk down to a cellular level and entered Dick's body, with a gaping injury in his body, a number of his organs and tissue have ruptured.

"That shouldn't be a problem though" gradually tissues reconnected from Nero's mana, while forcibly accelerated his biological healing using his mana cells... J
