Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

3rd Pov

Waking up Jean rolls over in bed, standing up her cloudy mind vaguely recognises she's not in her room but pays it no mind. Stumbling across the room Jeans muscle memory takes hold and she makes her way to the bathroom.

Walking straight into a wall Jean's brain finally wakes up fully and she jumps to her feet. Running out of the room she quickly recognises where she is and her panic subsides. Now walking Jean makes her way down the hallway towards the lounge room.

In the doorway to the lounge room Jean looks around at all the unconscious people lying on the floor as her memories of last night return. Looking around the room Jean looks for Morgan but can't find her.

Dashing around the house Jean still can't find Morgan and defeatedly sits down on an unoccupied chair in the kitchen. Idly tapping on the bench Jean looks over the small divide into the loungeroom, at the moment all the unconscious people are moving slightly but show no signs of waking.

Standing up Jean decides to be productive and makes herself some food, it always surprised her that Morgan, who's an alien and doesn't need to eat has food in her kitchen. Making a basic meal Jean moves over to her previous bench.

Sitting down Jean begins eating but is interrupted by a scuttling sound, with a quick motion a tiny robotic spider jumps up onto the bench. The robot has a black material base with red energy channels carved along it and glowing purple eyes.

Staring at the robot Jean is reminded of Morgans base form, tapping the robot Jeans hand snaps back when she hears Morgans voice coming out of it.

"Good morning Jean, did you sleep well? I'll be upstairs in about ten minutes so just make yourself at home till then." – Spider Bot Morgan

Mouth agape Jean watches blankly as the spider seems to think for a bit before scurrying off the bench. Watching the spider disappear as a small door opens in the wall Jean decides the best choice would be to finish her breakfast.

1st Pov

Working through the night I managed to get a lot done, the first thing I had done was work on improving my construction hives. Now each hive had a variety of different sized drones each with a long life battery and created with organic inspired machinery from the Horizon universe.

This vastly improved all the specifications of the drones and improved their life spans; in addition, each drone now had a short range transmitter to connect with the hive queen. To further improve the drones effectiveness, I also modified the 3d printers to use fabricator parts.

For the actual hive queen, I made it so its polymer cords are surrounded by mechanical tendrils so they can move independently, the new tendrils also have shielded plasma channels to funnel materials from the queens storage to the drones.

Overall, it's a vast improvement to my construction hives and they can now start building more complex items. After building two of the new construction hives manually I then began work on building a small fabricator.

The fabricator uses parts from both the Ark fabricator and the Prey fabricator so its able to quickly make highly complex parts. At the moment my workshop had three of these fabricators running, all of which were making more fabricator parts that one of the construction hives assembled.

Finally, the last thing I worked on during the night was a small spider bot, using the organic machinery from the Horizon universe I was able to make hyper efficient little spider like robots that are powered by blaze.

Blaze is a new fuel source I got from the organic machinery knowledge, in essence blaze is a highly volatile biofuel synthesised from organic matter. This fuel is the main reason the robots in the Horizon universe even had bio matter to energy generators.

Though I had to make my own version of the bio matter to energy generator that was far less efficient and more power intensive then the one it was based off of.

Anyway, my little spider robot uses a hydraulic piston system to move, similar to an actual spider. Just instead of using blood the spider bot uses liquid blaze. Each bot has multiple magnetic all terrain hooks in the legs capable of climbing nearly any surface.

The main reason I designed these little robots resides in the tiny manipulators in their mouths, each tiny robot acts as a small part of an autonomous electrical system that assesses, lays, and fixes wiring. In addition, all bots are equipped with a camera, microphone, speaker, and signal relay.

Looking through the eyes of one of my spider bots working in the kitchen I'm able to see Jean is up and making breakfast. Separating a thought train to contact Jean I continue my work. At the moment I'm currently working on creating a device capable of making small quantum computing chips.

The only problem is I can't use my matter manipulation as the energy leaves a residual on the atoms that will affect the way they set when the energy fades. So, to fix this I'm currently controlling over a hundred thousand tiny tendrils each a molecule wide to build the operating tools for the machine.

The machine I'm building works on a mixed principle of physical manipulation and magnetic stabilisation, this means the machine physically moves the tiny particles before stabilising them with electromagnetic force.

Fiddling with the parts for a bit I'm incredibly close to finishing the device, the actual device is a 2 metre tall square box with advanced computers, power systems, feed tubes and material storages fixed all over it.

Retracting my tendrils I disconnect from the electron microscope feed and look at my finished product. The actual size of the parts I was working on are less than a human hair, but still, I can see the tiny highly complex needles.

Extending a new set of tendrils I delicately pick up the group of 25,000 tiny needles, flipping open a hinged part of the large machine I delicately extend the needles into the centre of the device. Carefully with machine like precision I slowly attach each needle to its individual manipulator.

Ten minutes later the last needle is installed and my atomic fabricator is complete. Closing the front of the machine I place the refined materials into the material input and turn it on. As the machine turns on a recycler activates and atomises the materials.

Mentally sending over the terabyte sized construction file the machine begins to hum as it activates, now I just need to wait for it to finish.

Heading to the elevator I pause for a second, grabbing some materials I attempt to make a terraria teleporter but fail due to the subatomic nature of its components, adding it to my to do list I ride the elevator up.

Opening my points notifications as I ride I look it over.

First time Creation complete – Grade (B+) – Reward 20,000pts

Repeat Creation complete x144,000 – Reward 14,400pts

Total Points earned = 34,400pts

Closing my points I have no use for them at the moment as I still need to use the rest of my knowledge. At the top of the elevator shaft a panel opens in my lounge room and I step out, waving at Jean in the kitchen I step around the people and make my way over.

"What's with the hidden elevator" – Jean

"It goes down to my facilities under the house, they're still under construction at the moment though." – Morgan

Sitting opposite Jean I can see the traces of tears under her eyes, she's also still wearing the outfit I made her yesterday. Conjuring her some clothes with matter manipulation I place them on the chair next to her.

After a simple conversation while Jean eats her breakfast she heads to the bathroom and I go to wake the sleeping people.

Looking over the two groups I recognise all of them from my meta knowledge and research. On the X-men's side there is Cyclops, Beast, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Shadow Cat, Storm and finally Rogue who was on a couch separated from the groups.

On the Brotherhood's side I saw Magneto, Quicksilver, Pyro, Blob, Toad, Sabretooth and Mystique. Of that group the only one who was purely evil was Sabretooth, when I was looking through his mind I saw the type of monster he was and had already decided he wouldn't be waking up.

Starting with Sabretooth I casually make him braindead, that way if someone asks I can just say his healing messed with me unprograming him. Though I really doubt anyone's going to care much about him, if there was a crime you could think of he's probably done it.

And the dudes like well over a hundred years old, a dedicated German during 1945 would have less severe crimes than him. Moving on from Sabretooth I move to Magneto, mentally flipping a switch in his mind he begins to awaken.

Waiting for Magneto to wake up first so I can explain the situation as he's kind of the default leader I move to sit next to the unconscious Mystique. Recovering quickly, it takes Magneto less than ten seconds to recover and stand up.

Looking closer at the guy I must say he aged well, for a guy born in 1930 he doesn't look a day over forty. A fact I've noticed in my time in this universe is how similar some people look to the actors who played their characters in movies, Magneto for instance looks like Michael Fassbender.

Watching Magneto silently for a bit I observe his actions and surface thoughts to check if I successfully removed Charles's programming. And for the most part it seems I did but a few of his habits returned.

For example, it seems his mutant superiority complex whilst not as bad as when he was programmed by Charles is still there. Finally noticing me after checking the still sleeping Meta's, Magneto puts his guard up.

Standing from my seat I approach him and offer my hand, looking around for a bit Magneto sighs and takes my hand. Shaking his hand, I return to my human form and introduce myself.

"Morning Magneto, my names Morgana, and yours is?" – Morgan

"The names Eric Lehnsherr, I'm assuming you can explain what's going on here?" – Magneto

Guiding Eric into the kitchen I gesture for him to sit next to Jean as I begin making coffee, a psychology trick I learned on the internet is people seem more at ease if you seem comfortable.

"So, Eric I can either send you the information you want telepathically or explain it to you slowly" – Morgan

Waving a hand around his head Eric gestures at his lack of a helmet. "No helmet I couldn't stop you if I wanted."

Shrugging I decide to roll with it and slowly send him a edited copy of my memories from last night, I also include isolated portions of the memories I saw in peoples heads as I was fixing them.

The more I send the angrier Eric seems to get before at one point he stands up and smashes his fist against the bench, off to the side Jean scoots away from him and sips her coffee. By the end of the telepathic transfer Eric is pacing around my kitchen with figurative steam pouring out his nose.

"How could he! That selfish bald disabled prick, he ruined years of efforts! I was discussing a treaty between Mutants and humans when I met him!" Raging I can feel the literal waves of power flow off Eric as every metal object in my kitchen that's not held down begins to float.

Surprisingly, I can feel his powers have a small effect on me but I negate it with my psionic energy. Walking up to the raging Meta-human before he destroys my house, I place a hand on his shoulder and emit a comforting aura.

Snapping towards me Eric seems about ready to snap before he see's all the floating metal items behind me. Visibly forcing himself to calm down the metal objects return to the ground. Patting his shoulder a few times I gently push him back to the chair.

"We can work on the mutants situation later, first I have to wake the people in my lounge room and you have to comfort them. Besides let's start with calling you guys Meta-humans" – Morgan

Saying my piece, I leave Eric to stew in the kitchen and move to the lounge room, starting with Mystique who is arguably the best person to deal with a upset group of children, I move on to the X-men.

Waking the guys first before the girls, I eventually make my way over to Rogue. Curios I gently poke her cheek to see what happens, instantly I can feel a strong force pulling at my soul but an even stronger force holds my soul steady.

Skill {Control, Contain, Corruption Immunity Lvl Max} has activated

Removing my hand, I wake her as well. Looking behind me at the waking group, Eric finally enters the room and approaches the mostly awake Mystique. Leaving Eric to deal with the teens I continue on to the Brotherhood's members and wake them one by one.

Moving back to the kitchen after finishing I sit opposite Jean.

"So… Thanks for last night?" – Jean

Seeing Jeans face, torn between emotions and looking confused, I move around to her and give her a side hug.

"You're welcome. I'm happy to help anyone in need, besides, it wasn't your fault you got involved with such a shit situation." – Morgan

Sitting there in silence for a few minutes I'm eventually forced to move when the Meta's in the other room start getting noisy, releasing the side hug around Jean she looks disappointed for a second before masking it.

At the entrance to my lounge room, I look in at the split groups, inside on one side of the room the majority of the Meta's including some of the X-men stand discussing stuff with tears in their eyes and droopy moods.

On the other side of the room is Cyclops losing his head at Magneto, seeing Scott is about to start a fight I step in to intervene. Standing between the two groups I gently push Eric to the other group till it's just me near Scott.

Seeing me Scott seems to get even angrier, looking at where his arm used to be I can understand. Letting Scott vent his frustrations for a bit I stand there. After five minutes of ranting Scott doesn't seem to be getting tired yet and its starting to annoy me.

"quiet" Gently asking Scott to quiet down he doesn't seem to listen and gets louder.

"Quiet" Saying it more forcefully this time, Scott shuts up for a second before stepping closer to me and spitting in my face as he talks.

"Be quiet Scott!" Basically, yelling at Scott now I push him away from me with one hand, my anger slowly reaching the boiling point. Scott for his part freezes for a bit before his face flushes a deep red and his hand shoots up to his visor release.

"Why should I listen to you and shut up, you're just some bitch. I could kill you now and take your house and no one here could stop me." – Scott

Finally snapping I have enough of this arrogant fool. Instantly returning to my base form I morph my face into the most horrifying visage I can imagine and in my most inhuman voice I screech in his face.

Instantly the room go's quiet and Scott falls on his arse pissing his pants. Stepping closer to him still in my base form minus the horrifying visage, I begin my own rant.

"You are a arrogant fool Scott Summers, most people in this room can kill you before you can react or with minimal effort. And for your notice you would never be able to kill me, a drop from orbit didn't kill me, your shitty professors ultimate weapon couldn't kill me. You are a weak little boy."

Emphasizing each sentence with a step forward Scott continues scurrying back along the floor.

"The only reason you are alive right now Scott is because you haven't done anything warranting death. But if you continue that attitude in my home after I saved you from the professor and fixed your mind, I will kill you, and no one here could save you." – Morgan

Stepping passed the cowering Scott who is backed against a wall and shivering in fear I return to my human form and approach the other group.

"Sorry about that, obviously he was never taught properly but its nothing that can't still be fixed." – Morgan

Saying my part the majority of the group just nervously nod before continuing their conversations. Heading over to the kitchen again I begin picking out ingredients. Reaching into my fruit bowl I grab some apples and begin slicing them; after slicing the apples I turn on the oven and get out a dish.

Five minutes later the prep work is done and I place a fully prepared apple crumble in the oven, surprisingly having the equivalent to thousands of hands makes cooking so much easier. Returning to the main group I interact with them for a bit whilst it cooks.

During my interactions I eventually make my way over to Eric and begin discussing plans, at the moment the main plan seems to be for me to forge Charles's will to give his assets to Eric.

From there Eric will take over the mansion and begin working on restoring the publics trust in Meta-humans – we agreed mutants need a rename – Eventually Eric planned to get into politics to ensure the rights of Meta-humans.

Finalizing our plans I forged the documents and got them sent through to the relevant authorities, I also created an official death certificate for Charles and The Amalgam.

Hearing a ding from the kitchen I break away from the group and remove the apple crumble from the oven, calling out to the large group of Meta's nearly everyone wants some so I serve it up. Grabbing a can of whipped cream from the fridge and a tub of vanilla ice cream from the freezer I finish up the dish.

Surprisingly after all the strife everyone seems to at the very least not be depressed, I guess removing their trauma was the right idea. Sitting next to Jean I enjoy a nice apple crumble with the group.
