In his hand was a fruit that looked like a dragon fruit. But this was no ordinary fruit—it was the Susanoo Fruit!
To create it, Yoruha had worked tirelessly, saving every coin he earned from fixing equipment. It had taken him a whole year of scrimping and saving.
Eating it would grant someone the ability to grow huge and wield the power of the Susanoo, combining both attack and defense in one!
"This will finally earn me some points!" Yoruha thought, barely able to contain his excitement.
As someone who had been transported to this world, Yoruha had awakened a universal technology system. This system allowed him to invent things not originally part of this world.
These inventions, when used by people of various strengths, would earn him points.
The points could be exchanged for a wide range of rewards: Haki, Devil Fruits, physical techniques, extended lifespan, and even… ahem… physical endurance.
But to unlock the next invention, the current one had to be completed and, more importantly, someone had to use it!

Yoruha hesitated.

On the street, people froze and looked up at the sky. Their faces went pale.

"A dragon… a dragon's coming!"
The previously calm street broke into chaos. Stalls were overturned, goods scattered everywhere, and people fled in all directions.
A dragon?
Yoruha instinctively looked up.
"Wait… that's not just any dragon. Isn't that Kaido of the Beasts?!"
Yoruha's eyes widened in disbelief.
It was his first time seeing one of the Four Emperors. Even though Kaido wasn't using Haki, just his presence made Yoruha's hair stand on end.
Seriously, imagine looking up and seeing a creature so massive it completely blocks out the sun, staring at you with eyes bigger than your entire body. Wouldn't you freak out?
"Life… it's just so meaningless!"
Kaido's voice thundered from the sky, followed by loud sobbing.
"Ughhhhh!"
After crying his heart out, the massive Azure Dragon shrank down into human form. Kaido spread his arms wide and began plummeting straight down—right towards Yoruha!
Yoruha's face twitched.
"Big guy, if you're gonna commit suicide, could you not do it above my head? You're putting a lot of pressure on me here!"
Panic set in as Yoruha abandoned his stall and started running for his life.
BOOM!!!
A deafening crash shook the ground as Kaido's enormous body slammed into the earth. The impact tore the ground apart, cracks spiderwebbing out from the massive crater that formed on impact.
Dust and debris exploded into the air, and the noise sent birds and beasts fleeing in terror for miles around.
Thankfully, Yoruha had managed to escape far enough away. He was only knocked over by the shockwave, avoiding any serious harm.
"Didn't succeed again, huh?"
"Man, this is so annoying!"
A gruff voice echoed from the dust cloud.
Through the haze, Yoruha could make out a giant figure with a cape slowly climbing out of the crater.
As soon as Kaido emerged, his sharp eyes locked onto Yoruha.
Kaido's infamous ruthlessness—Yoruha knew a little about it.
His heart was in chaos. I've only been in this world for a year. I finally made some progress… and now I'm going to die?

Stay calm. Stay rational! Yoruha bit his lip. The more dangerous the situation, the more important it was to think clearly.

Kaido wasn't just violent—he had a soft spot for talented people. He'd tried to recruit even his enemies, like Kid and Luffy, into his crew. If Yoruha could show his value, maybe he could survive.

Seizing the opportunity, Yoruha quickly pulled out the Susanoo Fruit, holding it up proudly.
"This is something I invented—a synthetic Devil Fruit, the Susanoo Fruit! Whoever eats it gains a hundredfold increase in size, a full-body invisible armor, and abilities that combine both offense and defense!"
"And," Yoruha added with a confident smile, "this artificial fruit can be eaten alongside a regular Devil Fruit without any side effects."
"If you fund my research, I can create even more inventions for the Beast Pirates!"
Kaido's eyes narrowed as he stared at the fruit in Yoruha's hand, his intense gaze making sweat drip down Yoruha's forehead. The oppressive aura Kaido had momentarily reined in came flooding back, suffocatingly heavy.
Kaido raised an eyebrow.
"Offense and defense? A mere artificial Devil Fruit? You expect me to believe something so ridiculous?"
"And eating two Devil Fruits… do you take me for a fool?"
Kaido's club was once again raised high above his head. His expression turned savage as he glared at Yoruha.
"Speak! Who sent you? Are you a leftover from the Kozuki clan? Or one of those cursed Marines?"
Oh no, I forgot! Yoruha thought in a panic. I know this fruit comes from the system, but there's no way he'd believe that!
"I swear I'm not lying, Kaido!" Yoruha blurted, desperation creeping into his voice.
"If you don't believe me, let someone else try it. But if you do that, you'll lose a god-tier fruit and the chance to become a dual Devil Fruit user!"
Kaido's sharp eyes bore into Yoruha, unblinking, his silence making the air around them unbearably heavy.
The tension was suffocating. Dead silence filled the space.
Even under the crushing pressure, Yoruha forced himself to stay calm.
After what felt like an eternity, Kaido finally spoke.
"Ahahahahaha!" He laughed loudly. "Alright, kid. You passed—for now."
"However, I'm taking this fruit back with me. I'll have Queen test it out."
"If it's as good as you claim, you'll be a great asset to the Beast Pirates. Whatever you want, just name it."
"But if you're lying…"
Kaido's eyes turned icy, and his grin grew menacing.
"Ahahahahaha… then you'll end up in a boiling pot of oil!"
