Chapter 26 - " Arcade Night"

( In the evening, around 9pm, At Harbor Mall Arcade:; )

( Inside the Arcade) :;

....Siri's fingers flew across the steering wheel of the virtual racing car, her eyes fixed intently on the screen. "I'm going to crush you, Chan!" she exclaimed, grinning mischievously.

Chan, seated next to her, chuckled. "Oh, I don't think so, Siri! I've got this!" He expertly maneuvered his car, taking the lead.

The others cheered and jeered, egging them on. "Go, Siri, go!" Dee shouted, laughing.

Just then, Nun walked up to their gaming station, a bright smile on her face. "Hey, guys! What's going on?" she asked, eyeing the screens.

Siri grinned, not taking her eyes off the game. "Just crushing it, as usual."

Nun chuckled and leaned against the machine, watching as Siri expertly navigated the virtual track. Suddenly, her phone buzzed. She pulled it out, glancing at the screen.

"Hey, Siri, Nat just texted me. He's on his way here," Nun announced.

Siri's eyes lit up. "Oh, okay. Thanks for letting me know, Nun."

As the game neared its end, the tension mounted. The others cheered and chanted Siri's name. Chan, desperate to win, tried to distract Siri by playfully pulling on her arm.

But Siri was determined. She laughed and teased Chan, "Even with one hand, I can still beat you!"

The others erupted into cheers and laughter as Siri crossed the finish line, winning the game. "Yes!" she exclaimed, pumping her fist in the air.

Chan grinned, shaking his head. "Wow, for someone who doesn't come to the arcade often, you're pretty good!"

Siri smiled smugly. "Hey, I'm a natural."

Chan chuckled. "Rematch! I demand a rematch!"

Siri teased, "ohh ,How many times do I need to beat you? I'm tired of winning already."

The others laughed, and Chan joked, "Ah, she's trying to show off!"

Siri playfully rolled her eyes. "Well, I'm just showing off my skills."

The group continued to joke and laugh, and eventually, Siri decided to take a break. " You guys go ahead" she says as she gets up

" I'm going to go walk around for a bit." Siri continues

The others nodded, and Siri wandered off, taking in the sights and sounds of the arcade.

Siri walked away from the gaming station, weaving through the crowded aisles. The sounds of laughter, music, and electronic beeps filled the air, creating an electric atmosphere.

As Siri calmly strolled through the area, Siri took in the familiar sights and sounds. The walls were lined with rows of gaming machines, each one flashing brightly with colorful graphics and enticing gameplay.

As she strolled through the area, Siri noticed a commotion near the claw machine section. A young boy, around seven or eight years old, suddenly let out a loud, ear-piercing wail.

"WAAAAAAAHHH!!! I WANT THAT DOLL!!" he screamed, stamping his foot and attracting the attention of nearby patrons.

The mother's face turned bright red as she apologized to the surrounding crowd, "Sorry, sorry... I'm so sorry about this."

She tried to calm the boy down, "Baby, please keep your voice down. You're being too loud."

But the boy refused to listen, continuing to cry and shout at the top of his lungs, "I WANT THAT DOLL! WAAAAAAAHHH!!"

The mother sighed, trying to reason with him. "Baby, you can't always get what you want. Sometimes we have to leave and come back another day."

The boy continued to whine and complain, getting louder and more insistent. "But whyyyy?! I want it nowww!" He continues " I keep losing" the boy wails louder,

Siri watched the scene unfold, feeling indifferent to the frustrated boy and his patient mother. She observed the commotion without any emotional investment, simply taking in the sights and sounds.

Finally, after several minutes of negotiation, the mother managed to coax the boy away from the machine. "Let's go, baby. We'll come back another day, okay?"

The boy sniffled and wiped his nose, still looking back longingly at the claw machine. Siri's expression remained neutral as she watched them walk away.

Then, she approached the claw machine and began to play, carefully maneuvering the mechanical arm to grasp the prize she had set her sights on.

As she played, Siri felt a sense of focus and determination wash over her. She was in her element, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the games. The hum of the machines, the chatter of the crowd, and the thrill of competition all combined to create an exhilarating atmosphere.

Just as Siri was about to make her next move, she heard a voice behind her....
