(In the evening, around 7 pm, on Petchkasem Road, 5 meters away from The Niramitur Mansion)
( Petchkasem Road):;
...The driver nodded reluctantly, and Nat stepped out of the car onto Petchkasem Road. He took a deep breath, feeling the cool evening air fill his lungs.
"Go ahead and go home," Nat instructed the driver, who seemed hesitant about leaving him behind. "Don't tell anyone ok; I'll come home myself." The driver nodded reluctantly and pulled away from the curb, heading toward The Niramitur Mansion's private driveway.
Nat watched as the car disappeared from view, the sound of its engine fading into the distance. He glanced around, taking in his surroundings. The streetlights cast a warm glow over the quiet neighborhood, and the only sound was the distant hum of crickets.
With a sense of trepidation, Nat began walking in the opposite direction, toward the intersection of Petchkasem Road and Khao Takiab Road, which would lead him to Khao Takiab Beach.
Nat walked for about 10-15 minutes, the evening air growing cooler with each step. He didn't want to overexert himself, so he maintained a leisurely pace.
As he approached the intersection of Petchkasem Road and Khao Takiab Road, he spotted a taxi driving toward him. Nat raised his hand, and the taxi pulled over.
"Where to?" the taxi driver asked, eyeing Nat in the rearview mirror.
"Khao Takiab Beach, please," Nat replied, settling into the back seat.
The taxi driver nodded and pulled away from the curb, turning onto Khao Takiab Road. As they drove, Nat gazed out the window, watching the scenery change from urban to coastal.
The taxi passed by rows of shops and restaurants, then turned onto a winding road that hugged the coastline. Nat's excitement grew as the sound of waves crashing against the shore filled the air.
"We're almost there," the taxi driver said, glancing at Nat in the rearview mirror.
Nat nodded, his heart racing with anticipation. What would he find at Khao Takiab Beach? Who was behind the mysterious message?
The taxi rounded a final bend, and Khao Takiab Beach came into view. Nat's breath caught in his throat as he took in the stunning sight: the sun dipping below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the waves.
"Wow," Nat whispered, his eyes fixed on the breathtaking view.
The taxi driver smiled, seeming to share Nat's enthusiasm. "We're here," he said, pulling over to the side of the road.
Nat nodded, still mesmerized by the view. He paid the taxi driver and stepped out onto the sandy beach, the sound of waves crashing against the shore enveloping him.
Nat nodded, still mesmerized by the view. He reached for his wallet and handed the taxi driver 150 baht.
"Khob kun krap," Nat said respectfully, thanking the driver.
( NB:" Khob Kun Krap " is a Thai word which means Thank you)
The taxi driver smiled and nodded, "Khob kun krap, krab." He drove off, leaving Nat alone on the beach.
Nat took a deep breath, feeling the cool ocean breeze fill his lungs. He walked onto the beach, his feet sinking into the soft sand. The sun had dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the waves.
To his left, Nat saw a row of beach umbrellas and sun loungers, with a few people scattered about, enjoying the peaceful evening. The sound of laughter and chatter carried on the breeze, mingling with the sound of the waves.
Nat estimated about 20-30 people were on the beach, mostly couples and families. He scanned the area, searching for any sign of the mysterious person he was supposed to meet.
As he walked further onto the beach, the sand grew cooler beneath his feet. Nat felt a sense of unease, wondering if he was walking into a trap. But he pressed on, determined to uncover the truth.
Nat's phone buzzed with an incoming message.
" The Khao Takiab Lighthouse, switch off your phone" the message read.
Nat's heart skipped a beat as he read the message and obeyed it. He looked around, trying to locate the lighthouse. He spotted it in the distance, its white tower standing out against the fading light.
With a sense of trepidation, Nat began walking towards the lighthouse. The sand grew coarser beneath his feet as he approached the base of the tower.
As he reached the lighthouse, Nat noticed a figure waiting in the shadows. The figure stepped forward, revealing a hooded face that Nat couldn't quite make out.
"Who are you?" Nat asked, trying to keep his voice steady.
The figure didn't respond. Instead, it beckoned Nat to follow.
Nat hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should trust this mysterious person. But his curiosity got the better of him, and he followed the figure into the darkness....
