Reed closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying his best to adjust his emotions.
Mimicking the way the original owner in his memory would act, he curled up the corners of his mouth into a smile and said softly,"Butler Joseph, good morning!!"
Butler Joseph's voice was gentle and affectionate:"Young master, it's not early! You've been asleep for a whole day and night. If you didn't come out, I was going to barge in and give you another full-body examination!!"
"It's okay. I'm recovering well and don't need another examination!!" A glimmer of alertness flashed in Reed's eyes, and he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
The technology here was so advanced. If that thing on his wrist was scanned again, he was afraid he wouldn't have a peaceful day.
When he woke up, he had checked. That bracelet was still invisible and intangible, but he knew it was always there.
He glanced at No. 3 beside him and raised an eyebrow:"Has father come back?"
"Not yet! But when the master heard that you had been attacked, he was very worried about your safety and sent No. 3 back to stay with you first!"
"Good day, young master! Before the master returns, I will follow you 24 hours a day." No. 3 bowed respectfully.
Vic Brooks had nine extremely skilled bodyguards, numbered from No. 1 to No. 9.
Their names were determined according to their abilities. No. 3, as the name implies, ranked third.
It seemed that his easy-to-get father treated him fairly well.
Although Reed was a renowned killer in his previous life and was capable of protecting himself.
However, this world was different from his previous one. People generally had a much higher combat power, not to mention those various high-tech advanced weapons.
It was always better to be careful.
"Yeah!" Reed nodded, agreeing to Vic Brooks' arrangement.
While responding, he walked downstairs.
"Young master, are you going out?" Seeing him walking towards the outside of the hall, Butler Joseph asked.
"Yeah, going out for a stroll!"
The original owner's personality wasn't overly flamboyant, but it wasn't reserved either. He had gone out fooling around with his cronies quite a lot!
Previously, they had shown up at West Mountain also because they were too bored staying in the city and went there for inspiration.
So the original owner's personality wasn't too difficult to imitate.
"Young master, the meal is already prepared. Have something to eat first!" Joseph reminded gently.
He didn't need to eat during the two days he was soaked in the treatment chamber, but it had been a day and a night since he came out of it.
He was indeed a little hungry.
"Alright!" Reed changed his direction and walked towards the dining room.
As soon as he sat down, the household service robot started serving the dishes.
In just half a minute, all kinds of meals were piled up in front of him.
Reed's hand unconsciously reached out for his favorite fried dough sticks and soy milk.
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of Joseph and No. 3 waiting beside him.
Finally, his hand landed on the hamburger that the original owner liked to eat.
While eating the hamburger, he looked at the chubby household service robot beside him. Although it was intelligent, it was completely not in the same league as the robot that attacked him that day.
"Has the West Mountain that day been investigated clearly?" He asked while eating the hamburger. His tone was calm, but there was a faint hint of coldness in it.
Butler Joseph replied,"It's already being investigated. The wreckage of that robot has been handed over to a professional team for research. Results are expected to come out tomorrow."
Reed was silent for a moment. Thinking of the pursuit that the robot mentioned that day, he then instructed,"Keep an eye on whether there are outsiders inquiring about information these days."
"Young master, don't worry. I've already given the instructions." Butler Joseph nodded.
While Reed was having a meal, Butler Joseph was introducing to him some of the things that had happened after that day.
In the memories of the original owner, this Butler Joseph was quite reliable in handling affairs.
He just nodded to show that he was listening and didn't say much more!
Soon, Reed finished eating a hamburger. Between the coffee and soy milk beside him, he hesitated for half a second.
Then he decisively picked up the soy milk.
Looking at the golden fried dough sticks, he didn't hesitate any longer and started eating them directly.
With a "crunch" sound as he took a bite, they were indeed crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, tasting as delicious as he had imagined.
After eating five big fried dough sticks in a row, he gracefully wiped his mouth and got up to leave.
No. 3 followed him expressionlessly.
Butler Joseph stared at the empty plate of fried dough sticks, a glimmer of relief flashing in his eyes. He murmured,"This kid has finally started to enjoy the things he truly likes. It seems that after going through this ordeal, he has finally let go. That's good."
Reed didn't notice his emotional fluctuations and walked hurriedly towards the flying car warehouse upstairs.
The elevator went up rapidly.
"Ding!" As the elevator doors opened.
"Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!" The lights in the entire warehouse turned on automatically.
Even though he had witnessed many big scenes before, his pupils couldn't help dilating.
Right in front of him was a riot of colors like a never-ending rainbow palette. There were flying cars of all kinds in various shapes for the same color.
Damn it! Is this what the life of a young master is like?
Envy, jealousy, and hatred!
Oh, right. There's no need to envy anymore. He was that young master now.
It was simply thrilling!
Reed excitedly rubbed his hands together and walked towards those flying cars with a brisk pace.
As he walked, he looked around, his eyes full of novelty and fascination.
Every flying car was full of a sense of futurism.
His eyes couldn't help lingering on them, and each car made his heart flutter.
In the past, he had dreamed of owning a flying car, but due to technological limitations, he could only drive helicopters.
Now it was great. This whole warehouse of flying cars was all his. Hehe!
Finally, his eyes locked on a bright red flying car.
The car was like a burning flame, full of a flamboyant aura. There was a faint glow flowing around its four wheels, and it was obvious at a glance that it contained powerful driving force.
This one!
Reed grinned and walked towards the red flying car without hesitation. He opened the door and got in.
The luxurious configuration inside the car amazed him.
The soft seats, the exquisite instrument panel, every detail revealed the ingenuity of technology.
Although it was his first time to touch it, with the memories of the original owner, he was no stranger to these things.
Reed pressed the start button, and a low rumbling sound rang out. The flying car seemed to be awakened and was ready to go.
After No. 3 sat down in the passenger seat, the car door closed automatically.
As early as the moment he got into the car, the front wall had already opened automatically, always ready for him to soar into the sky.
"Let's go!" Reed laughed loudly, grasped the steering wheel, and the flying car instantly left the warehouse and rushed towards the vast sky, leaving a brilliant light trail behind its tail.
As the speed increased dramatically, Reed felt his body suddenly pushed back into the seat. The intense thrust almost made him lose his balance.
Adrenaline surged in his heart in an instant. The speed of the flying car was so fast that it took his breath away. The tall buildings in the city disappeared behind him in an instant like distant mountains.
His gaze was focused, his hands tightly gripped the steering wheel, and he calmly observed the surrounding environment.
The flying car warehouse had completely disappeared from sight. Instead, there was the vast blue sky. The outlines of the distant mountains gradually became clear, as if the whole world was under his feet.
Reed took a deep breath and gently pressed a button with his right hand. The power of the flying car increased instantly, the body tilted violently, and it rose sharply towards the sky.
