Chapter 5: Tier 1 Test and Completion

"You want to attempt your tier 1 promotion test?" Anna asked with a slight hint of doubt and shock. After all, didn't Alaric just registered yesterday? He's already at level 30? Isn't that a bit too fast?
Thoughts raced into her mind before she quickly recomposed herself, adjusting back to her original personality. She cleared her throat before guiding Alaric outside of the Adventurer Guild, going to the back.
At the back of the Adventurer Guild was a small backyard with a bunch of squared weights with numbers on them.
"This is your first test, the Test of Strength. The higher the number, the heavier the weights are. You can only lift wieghts that are the same or lower than your Strength stat. Understand? ".
Alaric nodded at her, the test was very simple. Immediately he walked towards the farthest end, where a wieght with the number 30 were written. Anna, who saw this sneered. In her mind, either Alaric was just trying to show off or one of those people who focus mainly on one stat.
Alaric, unaware of the thoughts of Anna, carried the wieght without any hardships. It felt as light as a feather in his hand. Seein how he effortlessly lifted the weight wasn't shock. She had already guessed why after.
(AN: You guys know that the natives of the world only receives 5AP when leveling up right? The sum of all stats of Alaric is 240. Meanwhile, from level 0 to level 30,a world native can only receives 180AP)
A blue light shot out from the ground, creating a protective spherical barrier around him.

- Triple Slash - Slashes the target three times, each dealing more damage than the former - 150 Mana
-Basic Sword Stance - Gives the caster additional +3 Agility and +2 Strength for the duration of 3 minutes - 200 Mana
- Overhand Slash - A fast, downward strike from above - 90 Mana
- Precise Strike - An accurate strike, capable of dealing double damage when hitting an enemy at their vital and weak spots - 70 Mana
- Lunge - A quick, powerful thrust towards the chosen target - 100 Mana.]
After sorting out his thoughts, Alaric chose Triple Slash and Precise Strike. The reason he did choose the other three was because - there are better skill than Basic Sword Stance out there, he was familiar with Lunge Strike because it was one of the reason he dies in game. Imagine using lunge on a group of enemy, he might be able to kill one but the rest can kill him. As for Overhand Slash, he just did not like it.
The blue barrier dissipated, Alaric walked towards Anna with a bright smile. Meanwhile Anna, was still the same as usual, except she had dislike Alaric even more.
On their way back, Alaric secretly open up his status screen.

He then distributed 25 AP to Strength, Agility, Dexterity, Vitality and Endurance. Glad with the changes he has, Alaric felt even more confident facing against an enemy chosen.
As someone who had played games, he knew that to get stronger, he needs to get richer as well. There are things that cannot be bought with strength alone, he also needed status, and status means money.
On the way, he came across Sen who had just returned from his quest. He had small bruises all over his body looking a little pitiful. Sen's eyes lit up seeing Alaric as e rushed over to him. As he got closed, he felt an invisible oppressive force coming from Alaric. Albiet it was too weak to affect him, it was still palpable.
"Hey man, you might want to retrieve your aura if you don't want to offend others." Sens reminder made Alaric confused. Aura? He doesn't have a skill like that.
Before Alaric could say anything, he felt in invisible force weighing down on him.
"What your feeling now is my aura. It's an invisible force that comes from us. We can control it at will. See? "
The invisible forced vanished, making Alaric feel light again. "Using aura is a sign of intimidation, so be careful on who you use it on. "
"I understand, thanks man." Alaric then thought of retreating his aura while not sure if he actually did it right.
"Hey Alaric, are you free a month from now on? "
"Huh? Yeah I'm probably free. Why are you asking? "
"I plan to explore a dungeon. Wanna come? "
"I'm in! But why a month? Can't we do it now or tomorrow? "
"We can, I just need to make some ample preparation. Prepare yourself too man. "
"Alright Sen, I'll keep that in mind."
With that, the duo parted ways. Sen went towards the Adventurer Guild while Alaric was left contemplating his next action. He had no sure ways of finding another chosen like him.
