It's been three days since the last time Sienna had seen Ivan. He heard that he has been busy due to upcoming birthday of the crown prince of this kingdom.
Sienna, was busy too. He had to work for a full day helping other groups in their jobs. At morning he help with the breakfast, after that he cleans. At lunch he help at the kitchen again, then the garden, next the laundering. At night, again he help with the dinner, the cleaning up. Then go to bed after sneaking to bath.
The lunch have just finish. So he is currently at the garden, helping the gardeners with the plants and roses at the mansion.
It's actually not that bad like how it sounds. He can rest in between works before starting his next job. And he likes being preoccupied now that there's nothing to do in this world.
He was pruning the roses. Removing the dead, diseased, or damaged shoots, and to open up the center of the plant for better air circulation. When he noticed a black, gooey, arm size, cat-like creature hiding at the roses. It was called a Mirecat.
It was a lowly venomous monster. If they bite someone, they could potentially kill of those they have bitten. Though it's not that dangerous as there were antidotes laying around for it. And they are also very weak, it's easy to kill one.
Sienna used his magic as his eyes glows a little. The shadow of the roses started moving, it quickly wraps around the monster. The mirecat struggles to get away. To prevent it from making any noise, Sienna immediately killed it using the shadow inside of its body as a solid prick forcefully coming outside. After killing it, Sienna's shadow ate it.
He went back to his work like nothing happens. That was the second time he encounters mirecat today.
The kingdom of Caverns was close to the center of miasma that creates unknown dangerous creatures. That's why many creatures roam around the kingdom yet there's no chaos happens if spotted unlike those kingdoms who were far from miasma.
People who lives here was strong enough to kill a creature. But some people still avoid going to the Caverns because of how dangerous it was to live in here.
He scan the bushes of roses. There were no left to remove, that's mean he has free time now.
His fingers gently touch the red rose. Despite being in the middle of the day, the sun wasn't hot to stand in, it was rather warm and comfortable to skin.
'Maybe because this is the other world, in the past I would get burn for standing under the sun for a minute'
He stare at the rose. It was peaceful. Way too peaceful to the point he felt bored with a placid feeling he couldn't explain. He felt relax and uncomfortable at the same time.
He gave a heavy sigh and close his eyes. He wasn't sure what he should do from now on. After a month of staying at the duke's mansion, what should he do next?
No house, no proper clothes, nor a place he knew where he could relax. All of the things he's missing made him realize that he's truly in other world with nothing he owns. Despite all of that, he doesn't worry.
'Looks like I'm back to zero again.' He open his eyes. He watch the birds fly freely at the sky without worrying a thing. Just a innocent peaceful life.
'I should start preparing tonight, so I would least get back at my peaceful life' He knew one thing for sure that ease any of his worries. The only thing he wants was peace. And he will make sure to get that.
"Lady Sienna, were you done pruning?" Someone asked, snapping him out of his daydream.
"Ah.. Yes.." He turn around, seeing his co-gardener, Oliver, a commoner.
"I see, you can rest now"
"..."
Oliver was a hard working person and the main person who handle the garden. He often help others correct their mistakes. He was kind and wasn't afraid to talk to anyone.
Oliver has a kind good looking face which makes others trust him quickly. His soft hazel eyes that seems to always focus at something and black hair tied in a low ponytail, his tan skin and well built body perfectly compliments each other. Adding his friendly attitude makes Oliver famous around the mansion, especially to girls.
"U-um.. Oliver.." He called.
"Yes?" Oliver answered and look at him.
"I-If.. If it's fine with you, you can just call me Sein.." He fidgets with his fingers and avoided Oliver's eyes. "Well.. I-I'm no longer a noble... So being called by my noble makes me feel uncomfortable..."
'And being called by a female's name' Sein continue in his thought.
Oliver smile. "If that's what you want so why not? Sein is cute nickname" He compliments.
Sein shows to be flustered. "T-Thank you.."
"Wow, I didn't expected to see you flirting to a guy, Sienna" Someone interrupted, their familiar voice was full of sarcasm.
Sein tilted his head to see who spoke. His purple eyes met the mischievous green eyes. It was Henry Del Montague, his half older brother. They only share blood through their father.
His personality was just like how one would expect him to be. Arrogant, self-centered bastard that doesn't care about anyone but himself. To summarize it, he can be called a bully.
"No wonder Prince Leonard broke his engagement with you" Henry mockingly stare at him. "Not only you're boring but also a slut"
Funnily, he doesn't know Sein's true gender. Before he enters the house Del Montague, he was just a nobody and lives in the countryside.
Sein's father cheated to his mom, and after she died when Sein was five years old, his father immediately brought his girlfriend and their two sons. One is the same age as Sein. The other is two years older than him which is the person facing him right now, Henry.
Their age difference says a lot about his father cheating. He truly never love his mother and just married her for status.
'Slut huh, wasn't that your mom's title?' Sein sarcastically thought.
Oliver fake caught cut the tension. "Uh.. Your grace, I believe you're suppose to go to your meeting, if you want I can lead you there" He said, trying to ease the awkwardness.
"Lead me?" He snort. "If that's so, why not let this maid lead me instead? You seem busy"
Oliver's effort were in vain. Henry wasn't planning on dropping his bullying.
Sein looks down. Showing his uncomfortableness.
Of course Oliver immediately notice this. Right now he doesn't know how to fix the situation. He never encounters such a thing before. Should he just let Sein to guide his older brother? But he knew that would be a good idea for Sein.
'Ah.. what should I do?' Oliver thought more options he has. However, what would he chose?
