Arlan came down from Bukit Janji with a full heart, but also feeling empty. He now understood the love his father and Salsabila had—a love that was not hindered by distance or time, even though it never had a happy ending. However, he also felt that this journey still left something unresolved.
When he returned to Mak Inah's house, the old woman had prepared hot tea to welcome him. "Did you find her?" asked Mak Inah.
Arlan nodded slowly. "Yes. I found her, and I understand now. My father never forgot Salsabila. He brought her with him on every voyage, in every story he shared with me."
Mak Inah smiled slightly. "That's the power of love, son. Even though the ocean separates them, the memories remain. And you're here to make sure they're not forgotten."
Arlan thought for a moment. He realized that he had not only found his father's love story, but also found the strength to face the loss. He felt closer to his father than ever before, even though he was gone.
