A few weeks after he left the village, Arlan found himself restless. Although he felt he had completed his emotional journey at Bukit Janji, there was something that continued to haunt his mind—his last conversation with Mak Inah.
"Sometimes I wonder," Mak Inah said before Arlan left. "Does Salsabila really understand why the sailor didn't return? Maybe there's more to their fate."
The statement made Arlan curious. He began to wonder, was there something his father was hiding about his relationship with Salsabila?
With new determination, Arlan decided to return to the village, this time with the aim of digging deeper into the story of his father and the woman who had influenced his life so much.

When Arlan arrived back in the village, he was greeted with warmth, but also curious stares from the villagers. Mak Inah, who seemed to have expected Arlan's return, invited him to sit on the porch of the house.
"You're back again," Mak Inah said with a small smile. "What are you looking for this time, son?"
"There's something still bothering me, Mak," Arlan replied. "You once said that maybe Salsabila doesn't know why my father didn't come back. What did that mean?"
Mak Inah was silent for a moment, staring into the distance. "There's someone who might know more about your father. His name is Pak Rahman. He lives in the next village, but he used to sail with your father. If you want to know the real story, he's the person you should meet."
