Emma stormed back from the bathroom, her face red with anger. "I want to go home," she demanded. "I have a stomach upset."
Doctor Jack looked taken aback. "So soon?" he asked, glancing at his watch.
But Emma was insistent. "Yes, let's go," she said, her voice firm.
Doctor Jack nodded, not wanting to argue. "Okay, let's go," he said, getting up from his seat.
The ride home was silent and awkward. Emma sat in the front seat, staring straight ahead, while Emily sat in the back, feeling guilty and uncomfortable.
As they pulled up to the apartment, Doctor Jack turned to Emily and asked, "Can I get your number?"
Emily hesitated, feeling a pang of guilt. "I'm sorry, I don't think that's a good idea," she said, trying to let him down gently.
Doctor Jack nodded, trying not to show his disappointment. "Okay, no problem," he said, smiling wryly. "I'll just have to hope you call me then."
With that, he got out of the car and watched as the sisters got out and walked into their apartment.
As he drove away, Doctor Jack couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. He was confused about why Emily didn't seem interested in him, and he was sad that the evening hadn't gone as planned.
As he drove, Doctor Jack's mind kept wandering back to Emily. He couldn't shake the feeling that he had missed out on something special.
The drive was long and arduous, and Doctor Jack found himself getting lost in thought. At one point, he almost got himself into an accident, but he was able to turn the wheels of his vehicle just in time.
That close call shook Doctor Jack out of his reverie, and he forced himself to concentrate on the road ahead.
Meanwhile, back at the apartment, Emma was still fuming. She had gone to bed early, but she couldn't sleep. She kept thinking about Doctor Jack and how Emily had seemed to steal the show.
The next morning, Emily went to apologize to Emma. "I'm so sorry about last night," Emily said, hugging her sister. "I didn't mean to ruin everything."
Emma smiled, feeling a little better. "It's okay, I forgive you," she said. "But promise me one thing."
"Anything," Emily said.
"Don't come between me and Doctor Jack," Emma said, looking her sister straight in the eye. "I really like him, and I don't want anything to ruin it."
Emily nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. "I promise, Emma. I won't come between you and Doctor Jack."
But little did Emma know, Doctor Jack's feelings for her were not as strong as she thought. In fact, he was still thinking about Emily, and wondering what could have been.
As the day went on, Emma and Emily went to school, where they had lectures and classes. But Emma's mind was not on her schoolwork. She was still thinking about Doctor Jack, and wondering when she would see him again.
After class, the lecturer cautioned Emma about her test results. "You didn't do very well, Emma," he said. "You need to study harder."
Emma felt a surge of anger and disappointment. She knew she hadn't done well, but hearing it from her lecturer made it worse.
As she walked out of class, Emma saw Emily, who had done exceptionally well on the test. Emma felt a pang of jealousy and resentment towards her sister.
"Let's go," Emma said, grabbing her bag and walking out of the classroom.
But as they walked to the car, Emma's anger and resentment boiled over. "I'm driving," she said, grabbing the keys from Emily.
Emily looked at her in surprise. "Okay, but why are you being like this?" she asked.
Emma didn't answer. She just got into the car and drove off, leaving Emily standing alone on the sidewalk.
Emily was worried. She didn't know where Emma was going, or why she was being so strange.
She decided to walk back to their apartment, hoping that Emma would be there when she arrived.
As she walked, Emily couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that Emma was upset, but she didn't know why.
When Emily arrived at the apartment, she saw Emma sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the wall.
"Emma, what's wrong?" Emily asked, sitting down beside her.
But Emma just shook her head. "You always steal my shine," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't want to do this anymore."
Emily was taken aback. She didn't know what to say.
"Emma, why are you saying this?" she asked,
feeling a sense of hurt and confusion.
But Emma just got up and walked
