Rubbing his neck, Sam yawned.
"Hey, buddy! How long did I sleep?"
Meow
Caressing Emberfluff, Sam rose and noticed that the sun had drifted under the darkness long ago, and now only the faint moonlight illuminated the forest.
"Okay, you also need rest."
Meow
Putting Emberfluff in the pet space, Sam noticed the change in the panel.
Resistance: Thunder [Basic]
Additional Thunder added to the Resistance.
With a faint smile on his face, he stretched his body.
"Maybe I'm now one step closer to my goal."
Sighing at fate, he shrugged his shoulders.
"Maybe I'm fated to fill the Perfect at Mega Planet."
Shaking his head, he sprinted from one branch to another.
"I found it," he said and descended from the branch.
Setting up the bonfire again, he roasted King RockSabertooth.
Summoning back Emberfluff, both of them enjoyed the feast.
Time continued to move at its usual pace.
.....
Swish
The arrow left the bow, followed by the string.
Thump
Slowly yet patiently pulling the string, Sam calmly, with Emberfluff on his shoulder, continued to pull.
Suddenly, as if the force increased, Sam got pulled. His eyes widened as realization dawned on him.
"Perfect!" he exclaimed and put all his strength into pulling.
Both sides exerted their force, but in the end, Sam won as now his FP might even exceed the Boss Mode. His eyes widened again because its size was double that of the previous elite lava salamander.
Excitedly, a sword flashed in his hand, and he reaped its head. Collecting the body in his storage ring, he admired his luck but soon shrugged his shoulders.
"This is the last day, and the masked man may be coming now."
Yeah, today was the 7th day and the last day. That's why he was enjoying both fishing and archery while also attempting to collect as many lava salamanders as possible.
The sixth day was only filled with hunting, without any other activity, and by the end of the day, he managed to hunt 10 Perfect beasts. Glancing at the sunlight falling over him, he sighed.
This is a treasure for any Awakened, but why isn't anyone else hunting? Here, you don't have to worry about finding Perfect beasts as they can be easily found. But in Mega Planet, you need both luck and risk.
After living and working for so many years, he could only conclude that this forest might be prohibited or owned by a behemoth. But none of this was his concern; the goal for which he came was completed.
Shaking all his thoughts away, he glanced at the setup.
Putting all the carcasses of peak beasts over the bonfire, he sat down on a boulder. Caressing Emberfluff, his stomach protested.
Rubbing it, he sighed.
"I didn't eat since yesterday."
Without caring, he took the half-roasted lava salamander meat and put one-fourth before Emberfluff. Breaking down the remaining roasted meat, he ate.
....
At the periphery of the forest, a sci-fi vehicle stopped, and the previous masked man exited. Two others also stepped out. Opening a small device above his palm, the masked man entered the vehicle again, leaving faint words:
"Go and bring me that boy."
Tearing through the air, both of them disappeared.
....
"Dad! Today is the last day. When will he arrive?"
"I'm hearing this since morning. My daughter, don't you have any other work?"
Rolling her eyes, she stomped her feet.
"Dad, today he will depart from here, so of course, I want to meet him one last time."
"Okay, okay. He might be coming."
"Okay, Dad. I'm going to my room," she said and ran toward the villa.
In the lawn, the butler Ramesh appeared behind the silver-haired man.
"Sir, that boy brought a drastic change to our miss."
"I'm happy that the change is positive. Before, she always had a smile on her face but sadness in her eyes. Now I can rest."
"Sir, you still have 40 years before you depart."
"I know, but those 40 years will drift too quickly before we notice. I still feel it was just yesterday when I was given the patriarch position of the Verma family."
Ramesh's eyes also drifted into some memories but quickly regained his composure.
"I have set everything for that boy, and everything depends on him."
"I trust him."
"They arrived."
Rising from his seat, the silver-haired man moved toward the exit-entrance. Sam came out of the vehicle, and his eyes fell on the silver-haired man.
"Sir, I have completed it."
Nodding his head, the silver-haired man said,
"My daughter is dying to see you. Go and see her, or she will kill me."
Raising his eyebrows, Sam helplessly shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay, sir."
.....
Knock
Knock
"Who?"
"Sam."
"Wait at the usual place. I'm coming."
Sitting in the corner of the lawn while swinging, he decided to attempt his luck, but no panel appeared.
"I knew it."
But how could that forest maintain the system of Mega Planet?
This mystery sure put him in a dilemma, but he soon shrugged his shoulders.
Why am I worrying since I only have to protect the miss, he thought and started enjoying the swinging.
"Sam."
"Miss," he said and rose from the seat.
Divya chuckled, "Sit down."
"Okay, miss."
Now, both Sam and Divya were sitting down while Sam handed her his storage ring.
"Miss, there is a carcass of a lava salamander. You'll like that."
"Really?" she asked and quickly inspected the storage ring.
"Oh my god!" she exclaimed and examined it again with sparkling eyes.
"You are so strong!"
Cough
"Miss, there is also a carcass of a Perfect-rank T-Rex."
Divya understood and, without hesitation, transferred everything to her storage ring and handed it back.
"Thanks."
Putting his storage ring back on, Sam shrugged his shoulders.
"I also have a gift for you," he said and handed her a locket.
A voice jolted both of them.
"What? Are you both progressing so fast?"
Caught like a thief, both of them quickly stood up while Sam was totally confused and didn't understand the statement.
Progressing so fast? What progressing so fast?
But calmly, he stood and glanced at Divya.
Why did she lower her head?
She didn't do anything wrong.
