Lying in the silver-man's arms, Divya pulled his ear.
"Dad! You embarrassed me."
"Ouch! Daughter, your father has become old."
"Hmph."
"Okay, what were you giving?"
"A photo of mine so he can remember me even after 3 years."
"Don't you have trust in him?"
"I do, but who knows if someone gets captivated by him."
Pinching her nose, he teased,
"Then, did you get captivated by him?"
Giving a foolish look, Divya replied,
"Dad! Do you think that's my age to do that? I still want to enjoy and play with my group and hunt many beasts. I just don't want to lose a reliable bodyguard."
"Ouch! Why did you flick my head?"
"If you have any ideas, hint me."
"I don't think that's possible upcoming 15 years."
Tossing her in the air, he teased,
"Oh! My daughter has already planned everything."
Catching her in his arms, he again pinched her nose.
"But everything doesn't go as it's written in texts, so be ready to tackle them."
"OH! Any advice regarding that?"
The silver-man turned his face.
Shrugging her shoulders, she planted a kiss on her father's face.
"Dad, please…"
Seeing her puppy eyes, he stopped the urge to tease and gave his advice.
"You should always be ready for the worst of the worst and every unexpected surprise. If you do that, you bring life to your impossible-looking plans. See yourself in that situation in your dreams, and before the event, live in the event before it happens. That's also planning."
"Dad! I don't know if I should follow this, but I'll ready myself for any worst scenario."
"Why are you becoming so tense? Don't you have me?" he said, caressing her head.
"Sir."
A sound broke the bond between Dad and daughter. Calmly putting her on the ground, he gave her a look.
"Go. Time has come for Sam."
"Okay, Dad."
"Is everything ready?"
"Yes, Sir."
"Okay," and he followed behind the butler.
...
"Have you prepared everything?"
"Yes, Sir." Sam nodded at the silver-man.
The silver-man gave a look to the masked man, and they calmly retreated to the vehicle.
Now, only Sam, Ramesh, and the silver-man remained.
Calmly coming near Sam, he patted Sam's head.
Sam's body flinched, but he stood still.
The silver-man nodded.
"Initially, my intention was for you to guard my daughter's life for 200 years, and afterward, you would be free. My simple intention to fulfill my daughter's stubbornness to bring a young bodyguard changed my mind. She now finds happiness in you, so I want you to live and, even in dark moments, think of my daughter as hope and survive for her. She can't lose you."
Standing still, Sam understood because he had a one-time conversation with her, and even if the silver-man hadn't told him, he would have done the same since his duty is to guard and prioritize her happiness.
"Don't worry. I know my priority."
"Good. I've done everything possible within my hands."
Sam sighed because, in just 2 weeks, his strength had risen, and he got the chance to spend 1 week in that forest—something that would've cost a fortune.
"Thanks. What about that boy?"
"Don't worry. His parents is strict."
"Ok."
Both parties turned their backs to each other.
...
"Take this pill," the masked man handed him a small, round pill of chocolate size.
Analyzing the pill, he asked, "What is this?"
"Sleep pill."
Without a second thought, he gulped it down, and the effect took hold quickly. His eyelids became heavy, and his body slumped in the vehicle seat.
"It's really effective," he muttered and drifted to dreamland.
The other masked man, who was sitting in the driver's seat, pressed a button, and the vehicle transformed into a sci-fi flying vehicle, soon disappearing into the clouds.
...
"Aahh. The effect was too strong."
"You woke up."
Sam's eyelids trembled as he snapped awake, his body instinctively shuddering as it triggered some memories.
A big hall, many boys between the ages of 10 to 20 lying fainted on the ground.
A man about 20 to 25 years old, with a mask on his face, shook Sam.
"Hey, are you fine?"
"I'm fine."
"Okay, follow me."
"What about them?"
"They've to wake up before transporting to that place."
"Okay," and he followed behind the masked man while rubbing his head.
I'm lucky this is another place.
"Enter that door."
"Thanks," he said, entering the door while a long, sky-touching beacon appeared in his view.
"Name?"
"Rahul."
"Surname?"
"Rahul Verma."
"Identification number?"
"429583056587."
As usual, the staff with a mask on his face, entered the details, and the information resurfaced on the screen.
Standing and glancing at every detail, he nodded.
Nothing changed.
While he was glad that previously he went to Mega Planet without needing a name or identification number, his record might've shown up.
This might be a perk of the dark organization.
Matching everything, the staff nodded at the operator.
Sam came near the beacon and stepped onto the beacon base since it had just one step, standing between a shining circle.
The operating staff gave Sam a look.
"I'm ready."
The next moment, light flickered on the shining circle, covering Sam and connecting with the sky like reverse thunder.
The next second, everything returned to normal, and Sam was no longer in his previous place.
