Sorry, guys. As you know, English isn't my first language, and there are some mistakes most of the time. I mentioned Gwen's family living in an apartment, but in fact, I meant to say house. The three words, apartment, house, and home are sometimes confusing to me, but of course, most of you may not have noticed it.
Also, some characters have different backstories according to the verse, like Emma Frost, for example. In some universes, she is some kind of prostitute, while in others, she is a rich second-generation from a bad family. Anyway, back to the story.

An Unknown Girl's POV
Today, I was going to meet a band that my adoptive sister recommended. Although I don't like meeting strangers, for my sister, I would do it.
I know she is worried about me, thinking I'm lonely and all, but honestly, as a mutant, how can I be friends with normal people? They are always full of prejudice, especially if they learned of my special identity. Apart from being a mutant, people like my adoptive sister are rare.
Still, I also have to make a living. I can't be supported by someone all my life, especially since I'm already eighteen, right?
---
Gwen, who convinced Luna and Naca that she was going home because something happened, but promised to return at night, was currently at MJ's house.
Although the meeting point was at Gwen's house, she had told her parents she was going to MJ's and would return at noon for band practice.
She also called MJ to make sure there were no mistakes, just in case MJ went to her house looking for her while she was supposed to be with her.
MJ couldn't help but complain, "You said you were coming a long time ago, but you're so slow."
Although Gwen wanted to complain about her friend's phrasing, she knew she was in the wrong and said, "Sorry, I encountered a little problem. But anyway, look what I got for you."
She took out a lady's bag she had bought earlier and stored in the Room Dimension before going to the Fairy Tail World. She had already anticipated this situation.
Sure enough, MJ's eyes lit up as she looked at the currently popular Dior bag. This one cost more than $3000, after all. How could she afford it?
She also knew that, even though Gwen's family wasn't short on money, this wasn't something she could buy casually, especially with how strict her father was. She was a little touched and, well, took it.
After that, they didn't waste time and decided to go to Gwen's house. Anyway, MJ's parents weren't home, as usual.
Gwen's house wasn't far from MJ's. After walking for about 25 minutes, they arrived and, coincidentally, saw a woman about the same age as them hesitating whether to enter or not.
The more Gwen looked at the woman, the more shocked she became because she recognized her. Logically, the woman shouldn't be here, and they didn't have any kind of relationship, no matter the universe.
The woman saw Gwen and MJ coming toward her. From her sister's description, it seemed they were the people she was recommended to meet.
She couldn't help but admire the blonde's haircut. It seemed her sister was really the best. She was already thinking maybe she should get this haircut too.
Of course, she didn't show her emotions on her face but just raised her hand and said, "Hello, I'm Lorna Dane, a guitarist, and was asked by my sister to come."
Yes, that was the Lorna Dane, Magneto's daughter—an Alpha-Level mutant and master of magnetism.
Probably one of the women with the thickest backgrounds: an Omega-Level father, an Omega-Level sister, and a speedster brother. You could also count her uncle, who, with a certain cerebro, was almost an Omega-Level telepath.
Gwen was sure that if Lorna joined their band, they would definitely attract the attention of supernatural forces like SHIELD, the X-Men, and the Mutant Brotherhood.
To be honest, Gwen was planning a double identity. The first was her civilian identity, one in which she would first gain reputation—one that could shake the world and stand above everyone.
For this, she started with the entertainment industry. On the surface, she would continue her studies, and once she accumulated enough capital, she would introduce civilian technologies like smartphones and games until her influence reached deep into humanity.
Her second identity, naturally, was for dealing with the supernatural. She would create her own force, one that would allow her to stand equal to or above groups like the X-Men and Avengers.
If not, how could she start her project of terraforming? She would need their help sooner or later.
When the time came, her surface identity would facilitate the project among humanity. Even if she had to become Ms. President or something like that, she would do it. Of course, plans were plans, but she knew there would definitely be changes in the future, and she would need to adapt.
Returning to Lorna's situation, Gwen replied, "Hello, I'm Gwen Stacy, and this is my friend Mary Jane, or MJ."
Lorna took another look at the two. She did have a good first impression of them. At least they didn't seem bizarre or childish.
Since Gwen was here, there was no need for Lorna to hesitate. She followed the two into the house. Despite the instruments being in the garage, Gwen needed to inform her mother she was back, while MJ wanted to say hello before starting.
"Hi, Aunt Helen! I didn't see you in the past few days, but you're still as beautiful as ever."
Helen looked at MJ and Gwen, then turned her head to the green-haired woman. She knew all of Gwen's friends, and this green-haired one wasn't among them. Sure enough, something was off.
Her eyes sparkled as she said, "Yeah, Mary, I thought you and Gwen had fought since you haven't been coming over. But it seems I was worrying. By the way, is this your new friend?"
MJ recognized the sparkle in Helen's eyes. They were the kind women had when they wanted to gossip.
She replied, "What are you talking about, Aunt Helen? How could I possibly fight my best friend? I was just too focused on learning things related to singing. You have the future best singer in the world here with you now."
Gwen rolled her eyes at MJ's antics. Well, she herself was just as confident, but she couldn't let this discussion continue. Otherwise, her mother and MJ would never stop.
She introduced Lorna and said, "This is Ms. Lorna, the younger sister of my hairstylist. She is a candidate guitarist for our band."
Helen nodded. Gwen had indeed informed her earlier about their band practice in the garage and had already moved all the instruments there.
At the same time, Helen couldn't understand the thought process of the two girls. It seemed they were really taking this project too seriously. Even MJ said she was practicing all the time. Ah, young people.
Lorna couldn't help but observe Helen closely. There was a warmth in the older woman's demeanor that reminded her of her adoptive sister when she was in a good mood. It made her feel less tense about stepping into an unfamiliar environment.
"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Stacy," Lorna said politely, extending her hand. Helen shook it with a smile but was quick to correct her.
"Oh, please, call me Helen. Mrs. Stacy makes me feel old!" she said with a chuckle. "Gwen has been taking this project too seriously lately and is even hiding some secrets from us."
"At the same time, don't mind her attitude too much. She doesn't have too many friends because of her personality. I hope you can become good friends with her."
Lorna didn't expect this. She thought Gwen was the kind of popular girl at school—just look at her confidence, her style, and the way she carried herself. How could someone like her not have many friends?
Lorna raised an eyebrow but smiled politely. "I'll do my best, Helen. Thank you for welcoming me into your home."
Gwen's mouth couldn't help but twitch. Which version of Lorna was this, being so polite? Still, after the introduction, she said, "Mom, we're heading to the garage now. I need to train our future best singer."
Helen smiled at them. Gwen didn't seem as reclusive as before, which was a good thing. She said, "Okay, I won't bother you, but don't push yourselves too hard."
After that, the three naturally went to the garage. Lorna, who couldn't quite get into the atmosphere between the two friends, didn't want to make things awkward.
Although she didn't have many friends herself, it wasn't because she was afraid of people—it was because of her unique circumstances. She commented, "Your mom's nice."
This simple sentence made Gwen doubt if she was still in a fake Marvel World. How did Lorna seem possessed by Wanda?
What was more, Gwen could feel that Lorna genuinely thought so, not just being polite. To be honest, when Gwen first saw Lorna, she thought someone had discovered something about her. But now, it seemed this really was just pure coincidence.
At least she no longer held any prejudice against Lorna. In the future, Lorna would definitely attract some attention, but she couldn't reveal her powers. Lorna could naturally become her bodyguard. Now, it just depended on whether the latter was really skilled.
End of the Chapter
Okay, here's the prototype of the band. Do you want it to stay like this, or do you have someone you recommend?
