Chapter 33 - Chapter 32: Trouble in the Adventurers Guild Pt.2

While watching the spar Mirelle had earlier, I was already practicing reinforcing my eyes with Mana, with the new opponents wanting to spar with Mirelle, I had gotten the hang of the reinforcing my eyes with Mana. "Mirelle, we're ready!" said one of the boys who was now sparring with Mirelle in the middle of the training grounds.

Watching the sparring unfold with my Mana reinforced eyes, I could see the flow of Mana on every person on the field including Mirelle, whose whole body is covered with Mana, as if her body is being engulfed in a white flame. As for the others, their entire body wasn't covered, however they had their weapons covered with that same white flame. The Mage on the other hand, Mana was visibly flowing out of her body and into the staff she had into the air and changing color, materializing into a basic magic spell [Rock Throw].

I could see where the Mana was flowing and what the Mana was doing with my Mana reinforced eyes, watching this spar however, allowed me to realize a few things, Mirelle is unconsciously letting her body be engulfed in mana, while the others was consciously controlling their Mana towards certain Items and body parts, only the mage was also doing it unconsciously.

But that wasn't the only thing, you could make Mana flow through other objects, and according to the books I've read, the smoothness of the transfer of Mana into a non-living object like swords and bows depended on material being used, which was apparent in the spar, I could see the roughness in the transfer of mana. It had an unruly atmosphere, with the Mana flicking with uncontrollable force, as if they kept adding fuel into the fire without moderation, resulting in tons of Mana being wasted.

The spar ended in Mirelle's win, with the opponents sprawled on ground. "Wow! You guys are amazing!" Mirelle told her sparring opponents with her hands on her hips without any signs of fatigue or even a speck of injury. "Oh, we got praised!" said one of the boys sprawled on the ground.

With the spar ended and another party coming to spar with Mirelle, I moved on to reinforcing my hands, concentrating the flow of my Mana into my fist with the help of my Mana reinforced eyes, and when I got the hang of letting the concentrated Mana in my fist remain for an extended period of time, I took a pebble from the ground and tried to crush it with my fist, closing my hand ever so tightly, when I open my hand, the pebble had turned into sand.

Throwing the sand unto the ground, I tried reinforcing other parts of my body, and a thought came into mind.

What would happen if I release a large amount of Mana all at once?

I meditated for a bit, and when I felt my Mana was fully recovered, I imagine myself as a flame exploding, growing ever bigger, with the image in my mind becoming clearer, I used the image to guide my Mana, as my Mana flowed out like an exploding bomb, the ground around me rumbled a little, with dusts flying away from me briefly, people froze on the spot, turning to look at me, whispering to one another.

"Did that girl just release that pressure?" one of the men in the training grounds whispered to the person beside him, another man whispered "Scary..."

It seems that making my Mana flow out like that would put pressure on other people, and if I could make it flow out in a consistent state, I would be good to use as a deterrent for weak monsters or making it flow out just like an explosion makes for a good intimidation tactic, avoiding unnecessary fights or conflict...

After spending a lot of time watching Mirelle spar with different parties, while training reinforcing different parts of my body with Mana, it was already the time to go home. "Mirelle, let's go home." I said to Mirelle, as I stood up dusting off the dust on my clothes. "Yes, Lady Celeste!" Mirelle replied enthusiastically, as she followed me from behind. But, before leaving, I casted Healing Magic.

Using it this way allowed me to master healing magic, and since the time I first encountered Elaria and Cliff's Party, I realized I couldn't go on without healing magic. That's why I had created [Healing Magic] when I was reading up on skills in the Guild's library.

When we had reached the door back into the Adventurers Guild building, we were stop by a group of Man standing in front of the door, with an imposing atmosphere. Looking at how things were, and the way they were looking down on Mirelle and I with their eyes, I could smell trouble a mile away. Not wanting to troubled by whatever they were planning on doing, I spoke out. "Excuse me, but yo-" However, I was interrupted by the man in the middle of the group of man.

"Hey girl, drop whatever you're doing and join our party." the man looked at Mirelle, ignoring me, as he voiced out his demands to Mirelle, and Mirelle confused, asked the Arrogant Man in front of her. "Why? Mirelle doesn't want to, Mirelle is already with Lady Celeste." Mirelle stated to the Arrogant Man.

"Bi***, don't test me. Follow us, while I'm asking nice." said the Arrogant Man, now irritated by Mirelle's behavior. He voiced his demands to Mirelle again. "Drop the bi***, and join our party this instant.", Mirelle not liking the Arrogant Man's way of calling me, her demeanor changed into a much heavier tone. "Don't call Lady Celeste that, I'm not joining." Mirelle sternly turned down his invitation again, but not without showing a hint of dislike towards the Arrogant Man.

The Arrogant Man, immediately noticed Mirelle's expression and showed an angry face, as his face turned red. Letting out a loud voice, "Why this little bi***!" The Arrogant Man lifted his fist and was about to punch Mirelle in the face.

"Mirelle, fight back. But don't injure them too much." I telepathically said to Mirelle, one of the skills I had learned in my study in the library, [Telepathic Message], as I said this to Mirelle, I took the compacted Bo staff by my waist and raised it in front of me.

Mirelle who had heard my order, immediately dodge the incoming fist by moving to the side without a waste in her movement. Dodging the Arrogant Man's punch, Mirelle who had moved to the side, immediately lowered her entire body, placing both of her fist in front of her face, she stood back up with incredible speed while raising one of her fist up into the Arrogant Man's jaw.

Mirelle did a spectacular uppercut to the Arrogant Man's jaw, After Mirelle gave the Arrogant Man a strong uppercut, she moved back to one of the weapons stands, taking one of the wooden words before moving back in front of me.

The group of men who were with the Arrogant Man, were shocked and confused by the sudden turn of events right in front of them. One girl had punched who I presumed to be the group's leader was made to float in air by a few seconds before sprawling unconscious on the ground right in front of the rest of the group.

The group stared in disbelief by Mirelle's show of strength, I could see that they had underestimated Mirelle's strength, from looking at how they were reacting, they most likely thought that her strength was really what she had shown in the spars earlier today. However, that couldn't be farther from the truth. I couldn't help but giggle a little. "hehehe."

When the group heard my giggle, their face contorted and was red all over, not wanting to be embarrassed by little girls and be laughed at by me, they surrounded us with their actually sharp weapons. They were now fully intending to bring us harm.
