"Greetings," said a voice so ancient that its very sound caused the fabric of reality to tremble.
"Surely, you do not know me, but that is good, for the stories you are about to hear are not about me, but about other beings and people with whom you may have much in common or nothing at all." The voice spoke with no emotion, yet from its words, it was clear that it itself was not part of the story.
"You probably hear what the narrator has to say about my existence, but it does not matter, for every story that will be told will not be about me," it spoke with conviction and truth in its ancient voice.
"Very well, let us begin."
....
"In the beginning, there was nothing but me."
"I wondered who and what I was,"
"I thought and thought."
"It could have been eons or eras."
"But it did not matter, for where I was, there was neither time nor space."
"This lack of space and time, I called the nothingness."
"But then I thought it cannot remain this way, I wanted to create something."
"But what?"
"I thought and thought until, eventually, an idea came to me: I will create a place."
"But what should be in this place?"
"I thought I would create a dimension, but what should I call it?"
"I named it the omniverse."
"I created it."
"But it was empty."
"So empty."
"It had no laws upon which it could sustain itself."
"I thought that, for it to continue existing, it could not depend on me alone."
"So I created laws."
"The first and most fundamental ones."
"These were meant to sustain the space I had created."
"They are: infinity, dimension, void, records, matter, beginning and end, destiny."
"The first I created was infinity. It was meant to create an infinite dimension and other aspects of it."
"The second was dimension. It aimed to stabilize and create sub-dimensions."
"The third was void. It was meant to ensure the near-total absence of time and space, and it was to serve as a prison for certain beings."
"The fourth was records. It was meant to write and record everything within the omniverse and create a history that could be changed if one had access to this law."
"The fifth was matter. It is the foundation of all creation. Without it, there are no material concepts."
"The sixth was beginning and end. They are the start and end of everything, stabilizing all. Without them, life cannot exist."
"The seventh and final law is destiny. It is what gives a path to every being and their purpose."
"I created them."
"And I saw that from these laws, beings would arise."
"Beings that could think and feel."
"They would be the first living creatures in the omniverse."
"They would be, but they are not yet."
"Eons would pass before this happens."
"But before this happens,"
"I thought, because I had created the law of void, which itself serves to imprison,"
"I must create a space for it."
"I called it void, just as the law is named."
"Void is a place that exists on the same level as the omniverse. One could call them twins, but with different purposes."
