The sun woke me up from dead sleep I look around the room rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I notice the alarm clock I set the night before hadn't gone off I'm late I scream as I jump up from bed scrambling to to put my clothes on before rushing down stairs. The house is empty mom and dad are nowhere to be found but I already know what's on the agenda today it's the day I finally get to start my pokemon journey. I grew up hearing the stories of the legendary trainers from pallet town and there amazing adventures but that was years ago and there hasn't been a trainer leave pallet town in years I will be the first one in the last 10 years to leave. I leave my house and head for the professor Oaks lab. I walk in hoping to finally meet the iconic professor but I'm greeted by one of his assistants who proceeds to inform me that the professor couldn't make it today due to dealing with the sudden mass outbreaks that have started around the region but he would help me with trainer ceremony. It all starts with my name. Just sign here the assistant says. I sign my name to the paperwork then the assistant leads me over to a table where three pokeballs are set each one has a starter pokemon and I get to pick one that will be my first partner for my journey. I look them over knowing I already made my decision while studying pokemon. When a child wants to become a pokemon trainer we are sent to school to learn about proper care and handling as well as type match ups before we are given our first pokemon when we turn 10. My tenth birthday was almost 11 months ago but due to the lack of trainers coming from pallet town I had to wait the 11 months before I got a chance to start my journey. I chose you. Charmander the assistant explains is a great choice just remember if not handled with care can be a little on the spirited side. I look and nod my head confirming I've made my choice. The assistant then tells me that professor Oak had sent them a newly updated pokedex and after I register my name into the dex I am officially ready to start my pokemon journey.
