After leaving the lab I head back to my house I run upstairs and grab what little bit of supplies I had including one potion and 5 pokeballs. I head back downstairs my mother is in the kitchen she says Justin today's the day my little boy leaves to become a pokemon trainer. I release charmander from his pokeball he seems happy but nervous at our first interaction I nickname him Blaze he looks at me blankly I pat him on the head and return him to his pokeball. My mother then gives me a little bit of cash to get me started. I leave the house and head into the grassy path that leads to viridian city. I ignore then odd pidgy and rattata on my way hoping to avoid a fight at least until I get few more members on the team. Since it has been years since a trainer has left from pallet town there is no new young trainers on the path so my walk to viridian goes smoothly once I get to town I walk straight to the pokemon gym viridian was once the last stop on a trainers way to the indigo plataue but due to the recent gym leader change its going to be my first badge just one problem is blaze isn't going to be up to the task being the gym is still and ground type gym my fire type charmander isn't going to have a good time I change direction and head to over to the route left of viridian usually this is the path trainers take to the Indigo plataue but I'm going to find a pokemon that will help me out with the gym. After a few mins of walking I find a good spot by a small pond I take a seat on the ground by a small tree and wait. After a few hours of seeing pidgy and spearow fighting over the area I notice a small blue creature coming out of the pond it's round and has a long broad tail with some sort of plant wrapped around it's tail. I pull out my pokedex and open it up while pointing it's lens at the pokemon. The pokedex tells me it's a Polywag water type tadpole pokemon. The polywag walks around the edge of the pond as if it's looking for something it must have found it because it soon stops and starts digging at the pond bank until a small tuber is exposed it then starts eating the strange root. While the polywag is distracted I try sneaking a little closer. I grab a pokeball from my bag and get ready I throw the ball it hits the polywag in the back as a red beam encircled the pokemon drawing it into the ball. It shakes 1...2....3 and got it I captured my first pokemon.
