Yo guys this is your favorite author and I want to make an announcement about the release of chapters. From now on I'll only be releasing 3 maybe 4 chapters per week so I do apologize but y'all already used to this cause I'm lazy as shit. I lack motivation and my creativity is rock bottom.
Zareth and the girls are walking toward the mountain range and sense a powerful presence. They look at each other, nod and then decide to move forward ready to face any danger they could encounter.
As the group near the foot of the mountain where the presence is located, they see a cave and noise seems to be coming out of there. "Let's go in and investigate." Zareth stated with the ladies agreeing.
"Gawd damn!!! That bastard is stinking up the cave, the fuck is it doing marking its territory!" Zareth exclaimed and the girls nodding in agreement.
"Indeed it does smell quite foul in here, it smells familiar though, like I encountered something similar before. I just can't recall what it was." Zefiris replied.
"I guess we'll have to go further and see what it is, before we move on to Delphi." Sophia stated and Zareth agreed, "Yeah it may even be threatening nearby villages."
As they continued to mobilize through the cave they heard a crunch and saw Zareth stepped onto a bone. The sounds coming from deep within the cave grew silent adding tension into the air. It was just after a single minute that a rumbling sound rang out and became louder, all of them knew it's coming towards them.
Zareth stood his ground and without waiting started throwing magic spells at the unknown beast, but, it wasn't even delayed by the attack. After a few more minutes what they saw would be in there minds for a very long time, it was a chimera. The chimera a beast that's an amalgamation of a wide variety of creatures born from alchemy or other unknown but sick backgrounds.
Zareth froze when he saw the chimera before him had the pelt of a lion, the wings of a bat, the head of a dragon, a snake as a tail and was about 35-40 meters tall staring down at them.
The stalemate remained as such until suddenly the chimera screeched and everyone was ready for a battle. Zareth and Zefiris took the front Zareth charging in to attack, Zefiris playing support and guarding the other two.
The tail of the chimera tried to sneak attack Zefiris but Sophie was on it and cut the snake's head off with her sword, Sophia started attacking the main body of the chimera to give Zareth some breathing room.
Zareth was clashing with the chimera blow for blow without yield and used blade aura only for the attack to bounce off. Zareth then realized the pelt must have come from a Nemean lion and knew he had to change his approach.
Zareth then sheathed his sword and went back in bare handed punching it with battle aura. The girls saw and shouted," what are you doing?" He told them the pelt comes from a Nemean lion meaning bladed weapons are useless. Seeing that he's making no noticeable damage he understood the monster must have a regenerative ability, that was proved to be true because its snake tail's head grew back.
Zareth gritted his teeth and exclaimed, "Everyone I'm going to use extremely powerful magic from the inside."
