Linda's POV
Every second felt like a step closer to catastrophe as the clock ticked away in my head. Kevin was shouting commands to his squad while pacing the living room with his phone glued to his ear. I gripped the edge of the seat with my fingertips as I sat by the window.
"Any leads?" As soon as he hung up, I inquired.
Kevin clenched his jaw and shook his head. Nathan's courier is moving, but he's exercising caution. We are trying to find him, but I am not sure how long it will take.
"Time is of the essence!" I stood up and yelled. "Everything could be ruined if Nathan leaks what's on that hard drive."
Kevin came over to me, his face grave. Linda, we'll stop him. I swear.
The fear tore at my gut, but I wanted to believe him. That hard drive contained my father's secrets, which I wasn't sure I was prepared to confront.
