Linda's POV
I was having trouble breathing. It appears the walls were closing in on the room. I couldn't stop thinking about the message Nathan sent me.
"Kevin, you know what to do if you want her back."
It was more than just a danger. It was a trap. I had been Nathan's tool to subdue Kevin. I was the pawn now.
Nathan's men had grabbed me as I was making my way to my car. They were too strong, even if I had tried to fight. After being shoved into the back of a van, I found myself waiting for whatever would happen next in a dim warehouse.
I stiffened as the door creaked open. With a calculating and icy gaze, Nathan entered. He didn't appear to be a man who was frantic to win. He appeared to be a winner already.
"Nathan," I began, attempting to speak steadily. "What are you doing?" I am not the focus of this. I take it that this is about Kevin.
