Linda's POV
Even though the curtains let in some morning sunlight, the tension in the room was not much reduced. I stood in front of Kevin with a heavy heart full of anger and doubt. The picture of my dad and Nathan that was on the table between us served as a sobering reminder of things I didn't fully comprehend.
"We need to talk, Linda," Kevin replied hesitantly.
My arms were crossed. Speak? Alternatively, put, tell me how you have been taking advantage of me all along."
Kevin blinked in disbelief. Making use of you? You mean what?"
With a shaking voice of frustration, I took a step closer. You were aware that my father had ties to Nathan. You were aware that his crimes were not the only thing being exposed. But without being honest with me, you pulled me into this!"
"I was unaware! Kevin raised his voice in self-defence. It wasn't until we saw that picture that I realized your father was involved!"
