Nux opened his eyes to see himself standing in the middle of a busy marketplace.
"So this is Eldorica," he muttered. "It's quite a lively place."
As he was still lost in the amazement of the view before him, he suddenly heard a commotion.
"Get him! Don't let him escape!" A male voice shouted, followed by series of yells.
[Ding]
[Don't let them catch the boy]

Nux didn't have enough time to process the mechanical voice speaking through his mind. He was in the middle of a commotion and there was no time for him to understand what was going on.
Suddenly, a short boy with red hair ran towards him and when he thought the boy had completely ran past him, he was pushed right toward the chasers and it happened that one of them was holding a long sword. Before he could react, the sword went through him and came out from the back.
'Huh? What just happened?' He thought internally with a shocked expression.
"We got the wrong kid!" One of the chasers, the one that had stabbed him yelled and the others halted.
As Nux fell to the ground, the chasers gathered around him. Sone were staring at him in shock while others had puzzled look on their faces.
"Have you seen him around?" The one who stabbed Nux asked his teammates.
"No. I've never seen anyone with a strange attire and hair style like this one," one of them replied.
"Neither have I seen," another replied.
"Should we leave him here?" He asked them.
They nodded. "We don't know him, he's probably a spy from the neighboring kingdoms."
With that, they stood up and left one by one until no one was there any longer.
Nux gazed at the beautiful sky and sighed sorrowfully. 'Is this how I am going to end again?' He thought and finally closed his eyes.

"I'm back again?" He muttered as he looked over his body. He checked the spot he had been stabbed and didn't find any wound there. "The heck just happened? First I died and here I am again?"
"Don't let him escape!" A male voice yelled and when Nux looked ahead, he saw a group of men chasing after a short red-haired boy.
"It's happening again," Nux mumbled.

"And this damn thing keep talking in my head," he grunted, placing his hand on his hair. "What should I do now?"
The red-haired boy ran towards him again but Nux was careful to dodge this time.
"You think I'll let you win with your little tricks," he scoffed as he made way from the chasers to run after the boy. "Tsk! I need to escape from here."
He left that spot and began to run towards an unknown direction. He didn't know where he was heading to, all he knew was that he had to find somewhere to hide or something.
Finally, he got to an alley and stopped running. He placed his hands on his knees and began to pant.
"I think this place is more safer," he mumbled to himself and bent down to sit on the ground but before he could do so, he heard some footsteps approaching him.
"We've found you, spy!"
Three men dressed in purple uniforms approached him. They had swords on their waists.
"Wh-what are you talking about?" Nux asked them as he began to move backwards.
"Chain-binding formation!" One shouted, and the air was filled with the sounds of clanking metals.
Behind Nux appeared a holographic diagram hovering in the air and from its depth appeared faint-looking chains that began to bind Nux. Nux's movements were restricted and he couldn't move his body anymore.
"Damn it!" He grunted.
The purple-clad men surrounded Nux, their words glinting menacingly. "You're cornered, spy," one of them sneered.
"Who the heck are you calling a spy?" He yelled but the men scoffed.
"Die!" One of them yelled and before Nux could react, a sword sliced through his chest, and he crumpled to the ground.
As his vision faded, Nux thought. 'Not again..." His body went limp, and his eyes closed.

Nux's eyes snapped open, and he found himself standing in the bustling marketplace once more. The scene unfolded identically: the commotion, the red-haired boy and the chase, and the mysterious mechanical voice echoing in his head.
"I am back again," he grunted. 'I don't really understand what is going on but I can only come up with one possibility which is time-loop — It seems like something or someone keeps intervening with the flow of time, preventing me from advancing further in time. And I guess the reason why I keep going back in time is because I haven't done what I am supposed to.
"Get back here, thief!" The chasers yelled once more and the red-haired boy came running towards Nux.

'I guess this is it'. Nux thought. 'This must be the reason why I keep coming back each time I die'
Nux, having understood what was happening got ready to carry out the task given to him. As soon as the boy ran towards him, he grabbed him by the arm and began to run.
"Wh-who are you?" The boy asked.m, surprised by Nux's action.
"Let's just say I'm your savior so you must pay be back!" Nux replied with a smirk. Nux was good at running, even having short legs, he ran faster than most people with long legs.
"Don't let them escape!" The chasers yelled but it was too late.
"Where do you stay?" He asked the red-haired boy.
"Down that bridge!" The boy yelled.
Nux smirked and took a sharp turn, making his way towards the bridge. The boy tried to keep up with his pace but the more he tried, the more he felt his legs pulling off from their joints.
"Hey, can you stop running already? We are already far away from those men!" He cried.
"Sorry," Nux said and halted. Seeing the tears gathering in the boy's eyes, he smiled. "Sorry about that. I was trying to save you, you see."
