Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

BRIGHTON, ENGLAND

The blood red eyes of the vampire queen slowly washed over her subjects, soaking in the information she received.

It was supposed to be an easy war but it seemed like the gods were involved in this one.

"Egichi's child you say?", She asked the reporters.

"Yes your majesty. It could only be her child"

The throne room doors opened, announcing the entrance of a tall man.

His presence emitted raw power and deceit marred his features. From the look of things, he appeared to be an older vampire.

"Allow the Ajekèr passage into Ibuzo your majesty", his voice rang out, a soft and dolcet rumble that was the total opposite of his looks.

"The prophesy is here. This is not the time for revenge, the battle is between Ceres' children and when there's a winner, you attack", he finished, allowing his words to soak into the Queen's mind.

For millenniums now, the vampire clan have wanted revenge. Revenge for being cast out of Ibuzo and forced to go into exile. Taking the world in the absence of an Ajekèr would be an opener but not when Ishaka is on the other side of the deal.

IBUZO

While the citizens of Ibuzo sharpened their ears for the arrival of their new ruler, the hall of gods shook with prophesy. For over a thousand years the hall of gods remained silent, gathering dust and leading a few to believe that the gods are never communicating to the people through obvious writings so when the climates changed and the waters boiled up, Ibuzo knew there was a new prophesy.

"The gods are here. Quickly, lead the elders to the hall of gods"

Soldiers scrambled to the entrance of the hall of gods, running side by side with the town elders and Njala leading the procession.

One wouldn't expect a woman of Njala's age to walk with such quick strides but of course the prophesy of the gods was enough to get even a tortise to run. Many centuries later, the gods were there to break the previous prophesies on the hall of gods to print another one.

The energy among the procession was not a very positively excited energy, the reason could not be far fetched. While some people are excited to see the gods at work, some others are wondering what will make the eight gods come down with their own prophesy.

What message could be so important that they couldn't trust anyone to deliver? Just how much drama is the new Ajekèr coming with?

With a great shove, the mighty doors of the hall of gods opened up to show the insides of the halls.

From a distance one could feel the overpowering presence of the gods. The elders and high ranking soldiers present shook to their boots, having never felt such power before. It was as if one could tell which god was at a particular place with the energies surrounding them. Some benevolent energies while some malevolent but one thing was sure, the gods were not entirely at peace. They moved at such uncalculated paces and created such destruction.

They stood patiently, waiting for the gods to call upon then. History has it that when the gods came down like this, who ever went into their innermost presence without being summoned would be struck dead and their soul will go to a place far worse than Heja.

The gods' energies moved around, the hums and whispers of both masculine and feminine gods could be heard through out the hall while they tore down prophesies that were written on the walls from centuries ago.

"Come forth, daughter of Ehisi", a deep rumbling whisper called out to Njala and right in front of them, a portal of some sort opened up, bright with dull lights mixed together.

Njala tremblingly moved forward, walking into the innermost presence of the eight gods.

As soon as she moved in, the remaining people outside felt a great quake under them that made them hold on to each other and then came the prophesy.

'Half of two, prize of the thief, the ninth one. His soul will take two forms. The servant and the master. One will go before the other and serve his purpose. The great good and the mighty evil'

Gasps rose high in the hall on seeing what the gods wrote. In as much as there was no clear interpretation, the prophesy did not look good.

"What could this mean?", One of the elders asked, her serene looks made her out to be an elder from the Agana clan.

"Njala will have the gods revelation", Azula solemnly replied, thinking hard about what the prophesy could mean.

Of course the prophesy revolved around the new Ajekèr, that much was sure but the meaning of the words were a mystery to the old man. They would wait for Njala to come out.

The riot of the gods got louder as the wind picked up once again, creating a massive windstorm in the hall as the gods departed.

"Njala!", Arog boomed at the sight of the drowsy woman. Her face paled whiter than white paper, she looked ghostly and a touch to her skin could freeze off a person's hand. Perhaps Ibuzo is in more trouble than the people could imagine.
