Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

ALEXANDER'S POV:

"Suck it up , shits happens"

"We are having a welcome back party for Liam back at the pub," Ethan said. "Just a few friends," he added after sensing my discomfort. I nodded. "Let's go to the mall and get you something," he said. "I can't go, the interns have a meeting by 9," I said. He nodded. "Call in sick," he smiled like that was the best idea he has ever made up in his brain." "Can't we go after the meeting?" I whined. He scrunched his face in disgust. "Don't do that and no ...I'm going to take a shower," he turned and entered the bathroom. "Feel free to join me," he said.

I was shooting daggers at the door. "NO THANK YOU," I sighed while picking up my phone which lay beside Ethan's phone. I sat down at my phone's former position looking for Mr Kabob's number, he is in charge of all the interns. Ping, a notification popped up on Ethan's phone. It was from a 'Linda'. I managed to peep through the first line if you want to see your child again send a ...child ?. Ethan placed strict rules on his property being out of reach, no touching he always threatened. So I was battling with my curiosity and Ethan's trust. I decided to kill my curiosity. "Ping" popped up again ....the new girl would love a lovely tale. Alexandra right ?....It disappeared and this time my curiosity grew. I opened the message.....don't keep me waiting t . Still trying to process what just happened and who the fuck is Linda. "Don't touch my phone," irritation dripped from the voice and in seconds the phone was snatched out of my grip. He was glaring at me. At that moment I did not care that I just intruded in his personal space "Who is Linda," I was not shouting. If anything, I learnt from my mother that self control is power. "Mind your fucking business," he changed from irritated to angry within just a second. He glanced at his phone. His eyes widened at the message. "What did you see?," he asked. "Not much, just a name". Now it's crystal clear he's up to something and that something is not pleasant. "Don't do anything stupid or dramatic, you can go for your meeting and go later to the mall with Mandy," he said. Each second glancing at the phone and the door. He went to the closet and threw some clothes on.

"It's Melissa," I said. He doesn't even know my best friend's name. I could tear my hair apart right now.

"Whatever," he said, manipulating his way to the counter. He fetched his keys and left.

The meeting was smooth mostly about the coronation of a new CEO. Melissa was already waiting outside my office. I Went to get my bag from my cubicle, "Stanley says he's hot…." And the rumors are already spreading. I chuckled to myself. I sighted her white Peugeot car in front of the company. She was waiting outside. The full wide smile that graced her lips when she saw me. She waved me over. I practically ran to her. "Hey bitch," she said. She's the wilder one. "Melissa ... .oh my God your breast cup seems different," I eyed waiting for an explanation. "Oh my," she laughed. "You noticed," she laughed again. "Melissa, what did you do?" I joined her laughing. "You like?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows at me playfully. She pushed the already pumped breast up my face and I smacked her butt. We both laughed. Oh my God I miss this girl so much. My eyes were watery from all the laughing. "Get in here bitch let's go have some fun, whooo whoo," she shouted, attracting stares. She entered the car. I gave a sympathetic smile before following her.

"So let me get this straight, you are going to be having a new CEO and rumors has it that he's hot," she said in a rush. "Lisa for the tenth time, yes." She squealed. "Let's get you something sexy for monday then, he's going to fuck himself over and over with your image stocked to his brain," she giggled. "Lisa !!!" I screamed in terror. "What," she screamed back. I laughed. "I have Ethan remember," I said as I consciously checked for an outfit for today's party. "Yeah right," she snorted. "This is it," Lisa said. She held a red short gown that stopped mid thigh, a body hug gown.

I shook my head in disappointment. "Ethan would never let me wear that," I chuckled at the thought.

"Oh please," she rolled her eyes. "Give me a break," she pushed me. "Go try it."

I entered the dressing room and tried it. I won't lie, it brought out the curve. It hugged me perfectly, my cleavage shining behind its amour. I wasn't busty but eh ... .average can go. It fits perfectly with the riedel vinum wine glass also known as boob glass. It was modeled after a female's breast …so I believe my breast is average. "What's taking you so long….oh my god," she looked at me. "Oh bitch you are sure keeping this one." She looked around, she saw one of the mall attendants sitting. "Wrap this up please,' she said, flinging her hair. "Let's go, we take the day off, we are going to the beach," she squealed. End of summer I could use the air and tranquility near the beach."

"Get some bikinis, it's on daddy this time," she said, shaking her boyfriend's card. I laughed. "I don't think I'm entering the water."

"So you are going to the beach, full of hot guys and you want to be looking like a bag of sad potatoes," she raised an eyebrow. "Not on my watch," she said. Turning around, she went to the aisle full of bikinis. She picked a black one for herself and a red one for me. She says it's cute. It had peach decorations. Yeah I won't deny it, hell it was cute. She paid for it and we were on our way.

Maybe we feel empty because we leave pieces of ourselves

In everything we used to love

It was sundown now, the sun was waving goodbye, going to its tent to lay down, welcoming the night. It wasn't entirely dark. The sun was still there but its presence could not be felt. The beach was crowded, something Lisa loves. Give her five minutes and she's gone. "Be right back," she said. I followed her eyes and they were wandering to a dark guy. I raised an eyebrow.

"What???...you can't blame me, he's hot," she shouted trying to justify herself. She left immediately earning her a scowl. I got an appletini from the bar, but the vermouth was replaced with apple pucker liqueur giving it a sweet taste. Not a regular thing to take at a beach but don't judge me I was led by my emotions. I was also led by my emotions to the darkest and furthest part of the beach, the commotion ceased, leaving an eerie calm. There was a sense of tranquility. I sat near the beach putting my feet into the water enjoying my martini (appletini). The water in front of me started shaking and churning, and I had no idea what was causing it. I was scared and didn't know what to do. I could feel the hairs on my body stand. My drink was long gone and I was scared to my bones but then a figure emerged from the water, and he was shinning or is it just my eyes. He had the most captivating eyes. "Liam," I shrieked in terror. He did not have the same reaction. He was calm, very calm. "Alex?," he asked. I was very shocked that he called me that. The last time a boy called me that, he was making fun of me. I punched him real hard, which got me into detention. My dad wasn't pleased at all. So I faced the consequences. He was shaking off the water from his jet black hair. My mouth was open.

"You are drooling darling, shit shit shit. Oh earth please swallow me."

"Baby," the high pitched voice came again. I cringed. Why and how am I the only one cringing at this voice. He looked bored instantly. "Don't call me that," he muttered. She frowned, "I have been looking for you all over," she said, eyeing me. I moved back a bit. "Why," he raised an eyebrow and damn did he not look hot. "It's almost time for the party," she whined. He looked at me. "You are coming, right?." Why does he care if I come?. Ethan would not even ask, he would just tell me to be there. Why am I comparing him to Ethan?. He raises an eyebrow, "right?."

"Oh yes," I nodded. Cassandra sent me daggers and yes it held death with them. "See you at the party then," he looked down. I followed his gaze. He chuckled. "Nice choice of drink," he said and left. I stared down at my martini content spilled all over the beach sand. I sighed. So much for wanting a quiet evening.
