"What are you talking about?" Khaos asked, he was doing his best to buy enough time for Mider to get as far away as possible. Unfortunately, Milly did not have the same concerns.
As she waved her hand, small earth shards appeared in front of her and shot towards Khaos, who quickly reacted by erecting an earth wall and jumping backwards. The shards exploded on the wall, destroying it and creating debris not less dangerous than the attack itself.
Khaos blocked the shooting pieces of his own wall by conjuring a sphere made of water all around him. The debris collided with the water and sunk inside it for a few centimeters before stopping. Khaos then shot the debris filled water at Milly, who dodged by flying up into the air.
Got you'. Khaos capitalized by sending a two meter thick stream of fire towards Milly, however, to his shock; Milly countered by sending back a river of water. The two attacks met in the middle, creating a cloud of steam which filled the cavern in seconds.
The reason for Khaos' shock was that it was 'impossible' to use more than a single element simultaneously. However, Milly had clearly used the wind element to stay in the air while countering Khaos' fire with her water element.
Khaos quickly dispelled his fire and jumped to the side. 'I can't see her, so she can't see me', that was his reasoning as he flew around in an arc towards what was supposed to be Milly's position. However, when he felt a large amount of Flux coming from behind him, he shot upwards to dodge the earth spears which almost impaled him.
In doing so however, Khaos smashed his head onto the roof of the cave, and a muffled laugh could be heard coming from somewhere in the steam. 'She can see me', Khaos realized as he fell towards the ground. As soon as he touched the earth, a dense wind erupted from his hands, clearing up the mist.
Khaos' vision came back just in time to see a fire spear a few inches from his chest. 'Shit, no time to block', Khaos exploded a burst of wind at his side. The explosion pushed him aside fast enough to avoid a fatal hit, but the skin on his left shoulder was burned off.
Khaos, did not have time to worry about the searing pain, he had to erect an earth wall to block a volley of fireballs before running around the circumference of the cave, dodging Milly's relentless attacks. Then he suddenly stopped and dashed the opposite way.
Milly was not expecting that, so Khaos got a second of respite from the onslaught, and he used that second to send a pillar of earth towards Milly, who was still mid air. Milly easily evaded by flying underneath the pillar.
"Get down here!" Khaos was still holding onto the other end of the pillar, and the instant Milly dodged, he slammed the pillar down on her. He had also altered it's shape since he was still in contact with it, making a giant baseball bat.
A loud explosion shook the walls of the cavern and some rocks dislodged from the roof. A dust cloud rose from the area of impact but Khaos just lifted the 'baseball' again before slamming it on Milly a second time.
Then, Khaos threw away his weapon and boosted by the wind element, he dashed towards Milly, who was still struggling to stand. Khaos arrived at Milly's position to deliver a flying kick towards her head. A burst of wind behind his heel accelerated his attack to impressive levels.
Milly raised her arm to block the kick and thanks to the fact that her forearms were coated with earth, they did not break. Khaos' kick did however send her crashing onto the wall.
Her body is weak, close combat is the way to go'. Khaos dashed forward, boosted by an explosion of wind to continue his offensive. However he had to dodge by flying upwards as a wall of earth appeared in front of him, as soon as he was above the wall, Khaos sent a dozen wind blades at Milly.
Milly dodged by taking off into the air, and she did not stop, breaking through the roof of the cave like it was paper. Khaos did not give her the time to set a trap for him on the surface as he flew right after her, through the hole she had created.
As soon as his figure appeared on the outside, a volley of earth spears assaulted him from above. Khaos knew this was a possibility, so he had been prepared and quickly dodged to the side by flying close to the ground.
The duo had appeared in the middle of a field of flowers, the serenity of the environment tainted by Milly's attacks, which continued to rain on the fleeing Khaos.
How much Flux does this bitch have?' Khaos wondered as his own energy reserves dropped to 15%. Khaos then conjured a sphere of earth around himself, but Milly's attacks destroyed it in a few seconds, however there was no one inside the sphere.
Before Milly could even begin to wonder, a volley of earth blades appeared behind her and she reacted just on time by dodging to the side, which is what Khaos was hoping for as he exploded toward her.
Khaos raised his foot above his head and delivered an axe kick with a beeline for Milly's head. The attack was too sudden for an elemental counter attack so Milly had no choice but to raise both her hands to block.
Milly was sent barreling towards the ground, creating an explosion and a dust cloud upon impact. Khaos did not give her time to regain her bearings, he sent a net of lightning which covered the whole area Milly should be in.
Using the lightning element dispelled the wind he was using to float, but it took less than a second to switch back to wind and stabilize his position in the air.
Without waiting to see the effectiveness of his lightning, Khaos sent a rain of earth shards before using his last remaining Flux to clear the dust obscuring his view. Then he soon began free falling towards Milly, who was injured and on her knees, struggling to stand.
Khaos crash landed directly on Milly, he had aimed for his knee to crush her spine but she had moved, causing Khaos to break her shoulder blade instead. Khaos quickly stood up and delivered a full power kick to Milly's face, which was just in the perfect position for a kick since she was on all fours.
The kick sent Milly flying and tumbling for 10 meters. Khaos slowly walked towards her, she was struggling to stand up, but because of the broken shoulder, it was not an easy feat. Soon enough she gave up.
"I am sorry". Milly suddenly said.
"What?" Khaos asked.
"Shut up i am not talking to you". Milly raised her head to look at Khaos. His kick had opened a large gash on her forehead so her whole face was covered in blood.
"I know". Milly said, facing the ground again. "Please give me another chance. I can still be useful!" she pleaded. To whom, Khaos had no idea.
She then faced the sky and screamed; "Please, HELP ME!!".
Suddenly, Khaos' eyes opened wide in absolute shock and horror. He felt his back being covered in ice cold sweat as his eyes were glued to the large black portal which had appeared behind Milly.
