Just as she was getting into the story Isla pulled her blanket she tilted her head and asked innocently. "Mommy was daddy here?"
Ever's grip tightened on the book for a second but she quickly shifted the focus. "Isla my dear we're reading now listen attentively." She said lightly.
Isla didn't push further but Ever could still sense she wants the answer. She continued reading until Leo's breathing was slowed as he fell asleep.
