Ellie looked up to face Simon. She couldn't tell if her trembling body was from pain or anger.
"Why? Are you embarrassed? Ashamed to show this sight in front of your esteemed friends, Vice President?"
It was a cold voice Simon had never heard before.
"What?"
Simon frowned as if just hearing it irritated him. Seeing Ellie in a state no different from being naked, he involuntarily gritted his teeth.
Ellie had called them friends, but to Simon, those gathered in the room were nothing more than insects. He felt the urge to punch the faces of those who had been openly staring at Ellie just now.
A suppressed voice escaped through his clenched teeth.
"Let's go for now."
"Where? Are you going to get another room?"
Ellie's words were unusually barbed today. As someone who always carefully observed Simon's mood, she must know how rock-bottom his mood was right now.
"I said let's go."
"You said you had a nightmare!"
