Chapter 12 - Asia takes a break.

Asia dropped into Allan's bed and sighed. One look at her and he knew she was in turmoil. He cropped his head up and looked at her. She had her eyes shut.

"Have you seen the news?" Asia whispered.

"Yes, it's hard to miss. My friends called me," Allan said stroking her cheek.

"Baby, so much is happening there. I haven't done anything wrong but I still find myself right in the middle of it." Asia opened her eyes, her upper lip beautifully moving up.

"I know you, Asia. But the more reason we ought to marry." Allan said, planted a kiss on Asia's lips.

While Allan went on kissing Asia, her mind wandered. Would David back off just because she was married? Probably not. The media would then talk of Asia cheating on her husband.

Asia thought of the drama as Allan helped her undress. She wouldn't set foot back in that Mara home. They two families would deal with Violet and David.

Allan was busy on Asia. She wrapped her arms round him. She needed to talk to David and firmly warn him. But the workplace would be hostile.

"How are your friends handling this?" He sighed.

"They say I am a fool for refusing to see what is right in front of me," Allan said pulling Asia to rest on him.

"Oh baby I am so sorry," Asia whispered.

Nothing made sense other than Asia was with David, especially with the end of the betrothal. According to the friends, Asia was playing Allan and would soon leave him for his boss.

It would only get worse as Asia couldn't even tell him David didn't swing her way. But Allan had his suspicion.

The two woke up to the news of a joint work trip. David was trying to make up for the mess they were in but Asia would still kill him. A few days off wouldn't save David.

"What is the trip about?" Allan asked as they quickly packed.

"Probably nothing. David is apologizing for the mess he has put us in." Asia said, cursed

"He is a good soul, isn't he?" Allan asked.

"Only when he leaves me be." Asia said gesticulating while Allan laughed.

The trip to the coast was timely as Asia couldn't go home yet. She wasn't ready to confront Violet. According to Violet, Asia was disloyal and would pay for it soon.

But Mrs Rivers called Asia daily. Each time she needed Asia to confirm there was nothing going on between her and David. Each time Asia confirmed it. She also asked Asia to convince David to take back Violet. David wouldn't take her back. It wasn't personal. David didn't want any woman yet Asia wouldn't tell her family that.

To Mrs Rivers, this was business and if it came to it, she could easily force both her girls to get married to David.

"What work are we to do here?" Allan asked as they relaxed by the beach.

"Apparently, to select the venue for the upcoming advertisement which will be right here," Asia said, watched Allan laugh.

"Is Mr Mara okay?" he asked.

"No. He is mad. But he is a good person and I swore to be there for him even though it causes me my reputation." Asia sighed.

"It will pass, baby. Then we will settle down and live our life. All these talks will come to an end," Allan was understanding.

They were in a luxury hotel right by the ocean. The view was breath-taking. The white sandy beach clashed with the deep blue sea. Cruise ships and yachts could be seen. One day, Asia would own a yacht. She thought dreamily.

Asia was in a yellow bikini that went well with her brown skin. She got up and ran to the rising tides. She dived in, floated on her back and let the tides carry her back to shore. She kept doing it as Allan watched. That body incessed him.

One day, Asia would be pregnant and her belly would be big. Allan thought and smiled. He waved at Asia before she ran back into the water. He would rub her feet and be there till she delivered. He wanted them married already.

"You will make a beautiful bride," Allan whispered as he got to Asia.

"Won't I?" Asia said, turned round and posed.

"You will, you beauty. You will also be cute while pregnant," Allan pulled her close.

"Everyone will look at me and know what we did!" Asia exclaimed as Allan laughed.

"Do you write these jokes or do they just come flying out?" Allan asked, still laughing.

"Piggy ride to that coconut tree and back. Then I will tell you," Asia said.

Allan bent and Asia jumped on his back. He walked to the coconut tree a hundred metres away. They took selfies there then she jumped back on that back.

Allan ran with her while Asia screamed. If Allan tripped, they would be damned. Well, he tripped alright and down they went. But it was all sandy so Asia sat astride him on the sand and went for a kiss.

"I will kill you, Asia. You will not get away with this." Violet wasn't calming down. That text said as much.

"Violet wants me dead," she mumbled as Allan asked why she was sad.

"That sounds extreme," Allan said, took Asia's phone.

"People make decisions by themselves then blame me for the consequences." her tears poured.

" Come here, beautiful. Move in with me. Let's start getting ready for the wedding. I love you," Allan whispered.

Asia sat astride Allan on the sunbed. She held his neck and went for a kiss. Something was bugging her but she pushed the thought aside and went on kissing. Allan wrapped his arms round her and kisses her back.

Asia switched off her phone and focused on the short vacation. Her attention was on Allan and the two had fun. They both wanted to go by the sea for their honeymoon.

By the time they got back home, they both felt their relationship was stronger than ever. But was it?
