Sophie sat at the wooden table in the morning, her fingers was tapping on the rough surface of the wooden table.
Opposite from her, Darius was standing by the fireplace, his back was to her, his shoulders were very tense.
He had not said much since their conversation the night before, but she could really feel what was going on in his mind.
"How long are we supposed to stay here?" Sophie finally broke the silence, her voice was sharper than expected.
Darius did not look back.
"Until it is safe."
Sophie rolled her eyes, surprise was in her tone.
"That is really vague, even for you."
He sighed, running a hand through his dark hair before facing her.
"It is not safe for you out there, Sophie. The people or things that are after me will use you to get to me. You being here keeps you much alive." he said.
Her brow was furrowed as she leaned forward.
