Chapter 19 - HER SOLDIER MAN

I followed the colonel like a lost sheep who recently found its shepherd. You needed to see the way Cal glared at me. He would tell me if there is more to this mission than what I think it is. Maybe there's something he's not telling me.

I entered the Colonel's SUV, painted in white but had this beautiful army design. I was behind, the colonel was in the passenger seat and there was a driver. Cal was supposed to sit with me at the back.

"When Cal comes, don't say anything" the colonel advised me.

"Why not?" I was curious. Will he beat me?

"Cal hardly gets angry, but when he gets angry, hmm… I avoid him as much as I can." We saw Cal approaching with his dad behind, "You know he didn't want you to come with him, why are you so stubborn?"

"I just… whatever!" I started reconsidering. Perhaps I should just stay back.

He entered the car and banged the door closed. I didn't know why, but I shook in fear! I couldn't even breathe well, his presence made me uncomfortable.

The General waved us goodbye, and I watched him and waved him back as we drove away. I guess he wanted to spend time in his son's house. I stole a glance at Cal, and he was twisting his lips and patting his foot in anger. It was funny, but it made him look so hot! I chuckled gently. I regretted ever laughing because I felt stupid when the colonel gave me a look of "WTF are you doing?" Through the rearview mirror. I had to snap out of it immediately.

Immediately we got to the barracks, Cal got down without even looking at me. I didn't know if I should follow him, I just watched him as he walked into a room, and then I started examining the whole place. It was so large and war-ish. I saw a bootylicious soldier girl come out of the room that Cal had entered, and she was walking towards me. I suspected her instantly. She was so beautiful and endowed, and I just perceived a flirt like Cal would have something to do with her

"Hello, I am Sergeant Vera. You're Sidney, right? Cal had sent me to you, he asked me to dress you up, so follow me." She said and headed east of where we were.

I was offended. She didn't even let me say a word. That was a beef. Who the hell does she think she is? Because she is a soldier? I am also good at martial arts and if were asked to wrestle, I am sure I would beat her black and blue. I just followed her after glaring at her, but too bad she didn't see my glare.

"Uhm, Vera, please can I use…"

"Sergeant Vera" she corrected me immediately. Again, that was so offensive. I just needed to control my anger, else the both of us would have naked ourselves here in this barrack. Was Sergeant added to her name when she was named? This time around, she saw the glare I gave to her, and it satisfied me a little.

"Sergeant Vera…" I was pained in my heart when I said, "I need to use the restroom, please?" I emphasized on the word 'please'. I had to be polite so that when I started my own, no one would complain.

"You would use it when you get to where we're going to" She forged on to a camp area and then, she directed me to the restroom. I hurried there, and that was when I made a new friend.

"You are more beautiful than you were described," someone said behind me while I washed my hands in the restroom. I looked behind and there was this innocent-looking soldier behind me. "I am Sergeant David, call me Grace"

That reminded me of Vera, why didn't she use her surname if she was going to use her title, crazy girl!

"It seems like you already know me"

"Yes, you are Sidney. You live with Lieutenant David, right?" she winked at me. I blushed instantly. How news travel is a wonder. "You are coming with us, right?"

"Yes," I said, blushing, and Vera appeared out of nowhere.

"Are you dating him?" Vera asked grudgingly.

"Sorry?" I needed to be clear on what the question meant.

"Are you dating Cal?"

First, it is the way she addressed him for me. She didn't want me to call her just Vera, but she could call a senior by his name. Who is this bitch?"
